Ha ha . I need to go to the shop , but revenge will be mine lmao .

In the meantime , I suggest Billy reads up on the laws of contract and the fiery red head that is David Moyes .

I don't need to read up on either my friend. You see I deal in firm realities...not in some fucking lala-land ideal world where contracts are respected, and David Moyes is the Messiah...he ain't. He's a glorified Sam Allardyce.

Shit...the granny shagger has said he'd even have joined Newcastle to escape the "fiery red head"...best player you've produced in generations....YCMIU....

You have clearly had a humility by-pass...

Just a couple of points:-

1 - The ITK of which I speak was passing on information related to Lescott's wishes/intentions. Obviously this is just what the player wants to happen and not what Everton want to happen. It is unusual however (although not unprecidented) for a player to be prevented from moving on if he has his heart set on it, especially when multi-million pound offers are in for him.

2 - I can understand the bravado but, seriously, Everton are not "very close to launching a realistic challenge on both the top 4 , and all cup competitions". It's just that simple. Without HUGE sums of cash you can't break the top 4, it's impossible, at least with regularity. You managed it once a few years back, but couldn't build upon that. I'm not having a dig at Everton, or Villa or Spurs for that matter, it's just a simple fact. City are the only club capable of breaking into the top 4 monopoly, and that's only becasue of our extremely wealthy owners.

I'd be very surprised if the only person who knew Lescotts thoughts at the time of these so called ITK's were Lescott himself . It also tickles me that Didsbury Dave quotes Davey Harrison ( our secretary ) as being his source . I'm not saying Dave is a liar , and he may well have had a conversation with Davey , but Dave Harrison , and indeed any Everton player for that matter would not be able to categorically state what is going to happen .
All they could do is pass their opinion on the matter .

The only person who knows exactly what is going to happen is David Moyes , not even Joleon Lescott .

And Matty , I'm not sure how you can say Everton aren't close to launching a realistic challenge on the top 4 and the cups . How close does a team have to be to be any closer m8 ?
Does not a top 4 place already , 2 5th place finishes , and a semi final and final appearance in the cups merit the title ' close ' ?

We've done it , and continue to do it bud .
We do it on the field , and not in the forums . If City go on to be successful , and good luck to them if they do , then by all means then add City to the list of contenders , but at the moment , Hughes is making a soup , and nobody has a clue what it will tase like untill it is served .
The Everton soup tastes wonderful I believe . We know this because it is a proven recipe and we've all tasted it . At the moment , City are still in the kitchen m8 . Your mouth might be watering at the table at the smell , and who can blame you , but the term ' proof is in the pudding ' comes into play here .

The Everton soup tastes wonderful I believe

If you like plain old tomato soup yes....

But if you don't......

......and you are drinking it out of dust bin......

One of the worst sides to watch in the league without doubt.

Everton are a long way from a top 4 side. Forget about the 12 point gap last season.

WIth their injuries and certainly if Lescott leaves they will be weaker this season than last, same goes for Villa (but more so)

We are clearly going to be much stronger than last year, we have kept all our good players and are adding half a dozen or so better than what we had ; and also better than what Everton already have to a great extent.

Also we dont have the distraction of the Europa 2 bob league this season. It took a huge amount out of our squad getting to the quarters with just the league and domestic cups to concentrate on plus a much stronger squd we are in a much better position than both Everton and Villa to push on in the league.

There can be no doubt Everton are going backwards if anything.....

They will do well to finish in the top 6 this season Imo with the players we are bringing in + Spurs will be much stronger with a decent manager and the players they are looking to sign.

Lets see what happens, I still find it a bit pathetic that Everton fans feel the need to spend so much time on a City forum ! Obviously very worried with good reason !
What? They are in the UEFA Cup, and were FA Cup Finalists. They can make a steady progression, and if one of the top 4 slips up, they could get back into the top 4.

Teams have broken the stranglehold of Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain, it's not impossible that it can be done here.

this is where you are so seriously wrong, David Moyes is a manager at Everton F.C. - nothing more, nothing less.

manager's do not make the BIG decisions, a board of directors make the BIG decisions.

The Board wouldn't dream of selling Lescott against Moyes wishes. Fastest way for them to lose their most important asset right now.

Sorry I dont agree. With the injuries they are carrying, squad size and likely to lose Lescott they are going backwards not forwards. They cant get a full back with limited experience from the championship that is the extent of their pulling power / finances !

Moyes has acheived miracles but hes taken them as far as he can. They have no chance of getting into the top 4 - unless they get an owner similar to ours willing to spend unlimited amounts on the team.

Also Moyes is well overdue a move to a big club, could well be a replacement for Wenger or Bacon face when they go in the next year or so. Then the wheels come off for sure.
