this is where you are so seriously wrong, David Moyes is a manager at Everton F.C. - nothing more, nothing less.

manager's do not make the BIG decisions, a board of directors make the BIG decisions.

The Board wouldn't dream of selling Lescott against Moyes wishes. Fastest way for them to lose their most important asset right now.

appreciate what you say but if the board says "he goes" then a decent manager will understand the decision and move on.

They don't need to sell, and will leave it with the manager to make such a decision.

Should we really be financing Everton's team re-building plans? We should have a valuation for Lescott, and if Everton are not prepared to sell at that price, we should move on. The Terry situation is different, because there simply aren't many players in the game of his calibre and standing.

What like the Rags when the Tranny went to Real??
If a player wants to leave he'll leave i'm afraid, it's the way football is at the moment.
That goes for Terry from Chelsea......Lescott from Everton.......etc
All the clubs can do these days is get the best price they can then move on!!

Liverpool bought Johnson for £17 million, right? Johnson has had one good season! Lescott has never had anything short of an impressive season throughout his career so that already puts him well over the £17mill mark! Then add to that he can play full back and centre back, and if anything happened to any defensive midfielders and there was nobody else he would easily fill in there, so that adds to his valuation! He is both footed, he scores 8-10 goals a season, he is a confident dribbler from defence sometimes acting as another midfielder! This lad is worth at least £22-25million! and the fact Everton dont want or need to sell him puts another few million on top of that and we will have to stump up that money to get him!

Its ironic there's Man City fans calling for Everton fans to have some humility and then coming out with some absolute dross thats just fuckin laughable!

Moyes a glorified Allardyce - I suggest you take this rather large bag of get to fuck and stick it up your arse! He may not be an advocate of the beautiful game, but to compare any manager that takes younger promising players, turns them in to internationals and finishes 6th, 5th, & 5th, with a 4th place thrown in there as well is about as far away from Sam Alardyce and his buying any player who's over 33 transfer policy! Seriously I pity some people on here! Moyes works with what he's got, and I challenge you to show me one manager outside the top 4 who's done a better job!

Also Everton are going backwards? How the fuck can you state this? How have we gone backwards??? If at the end of next season... thats the one thats not yet even started we finish below 5th then yes we have gone backwards. To state we are going backwards before the season even starts is frankly ludicrous!!!

I've spoken to some decent people on this board since the Lescott saga kicked off. Its a shame that for every decent fella who is able to post a good argument and listen to other fans points of view, there's 5 knuckle draggers who i'm suprised can even use a computer let alone post their inane drivle and insulting and small minded (and completely incorrect) views.

Its a shame because these people are giving the good folk who supprt City a very bad name!

Did you quote the wrong person? Because you are really arguing a completely different point.

If Lescott hands in a transfer request then of course that changes anything, but i'm talking from a general transfer perspective. If the Board do not need to sell, then it's Moyes decision as to who stays and who goes.

Lescott was not on the chartered out everton team plane that left from manchester for the pre-season tour this afternoon

Just checked his posting history and he appears to work at the Airport. No idea in what capacity though!
