Point 4 - there will be no team including united that if they dropped into the 2nd division would get 33,000. Everton certainly not. newcastle's fickle fans will be found out this season when the chips are down have they only sold 15,000 season tickets.

Evertons ground is tiny and there were still empty seats last season. They are a nice family club who will never progress, like a West Ham at best.

Everton fans come on be serious you can't compare our two clubs. We even gave you a headstart by getting relegated to Div 2 but we've still come back and overtaken you.

Ive sat in the lower Gladys end and I have to say it does not have the feel of a big club.

As for our global name one word for you........Robinho.
You're beginning to make yourself look very silly now.

One mention of Robinho and the Everton fan went, strange that?

And without the influx of money from ADUG what makes you think we'd have progressed? Because we wouldn't. Everton have reached the pinnacle of what can be achieved in modern football without any serious financial backing.

Everton have established themselves over a the last 5 years as the closest challengers to the top 4. You can't ignore the League tables.

City should finish above Everton next season, but it wont be easy, because teams are built over time. Once again we have major upheavals in the Summer transfer market with a large number of buys, and in the coming weeks, there will be a lot of departures. We wont get instant success, and the same fans who have been rubbishing everton will be the first to demand Hughes gets sacked if we haven't taken 6 points from the first 3 games.

The biggest problem we will have next season is unrealistic expectations.

Its ironic there's Man City fans calling for Everton fans to have some humility and then coming out with some absolute dross thats just fuckin laughable!

Moyes a glorified Allardyce - I suggest you take this rather large bag of get to fuck and stick it up your arse! He may not be an advocate of the beautiful game, but to compare any manager that takes younger promising players, turns them in to internationals and finishes 6th, 5th, & 5th, with a 4th place thrown in there as well is about as far away from Sam Alardyce and his buying any player who's over 33 transfer policy! Seriously I pity some people on here! Moyes works with what he's got, and I challenge you to show me one manager outside the top 4 who's done a better job!

Also Everton are going backwards? How the fuck can you state this? How have we gone backwards??? If at the end of next season... thats the one thats not yet even started we finish below 5th then yes we have gone backwards. To state we are going backwards before the season even starts is frankly ludicrous!!!

I've spoken to some decent people on this board since the Lescott saga kicked off. Its a shame that for every decent fella who is able to post a good argument and listen to other fans points of view, there's 5 knuckle draggers who i'm suprised can even use a computer let alone post their inane drivle and insulting and small minded (and completely incorrect) views.

Its a shame because these people are giving the good folk who supprt City a very bad name!

I presume this is aimed at me since most of what you've got yourself worked up about is stuff I posted.

Lets address the points shall we...

Moyes...Glorified Allardyce. Well, yeah. He's done very well with limited resources. Allardyce's, were in fact far more limited than those Moyes', plus Bolton really are a no mark club whereas Everton is up there with City, Spurs, Villa, as "sleeping giants" or whatever you want to call them. His "style" of play is, well lets put it politely shall we, closer to that of Bolton under Allardyce, than say, Martin Jol's style when he was Spurs manager. Once again, Moyes had done a very good job. I can understand why Evertonians feel so passionate about him. Much the same as However, IMO, he's a glorified Allardyce.

Secondly, I stated that Everton will go backwards next season. Why? Well, because you haven't got a fucking pot to piss in when it comes to transfers, whereas clubs like Spurs, Sunderland, ourselves, and even Villa, will be looking to strengthen significantly. Therefore, it would be delusional for you to think you can finish fifth again next season. That's reality. If that offends you, then tough shit, it's still reality.

Maybe if you had some humility as I suggested earlier, you'd accept your limitations as a club. You can still be proud of your club whilst acknowledging it's short comings...

You talk crap sometimes m8 . Seriously .

Allardyce doesn't need glorifying as you put it .
The guy is an exceptionally talented manager and gentleman to boot , and I can't for the life of me understand why you would look down upon his talent and experience at management level .
He was once the bookies / fans favourite to manage England , and when he was at Bolton , Bolton where a far stronger side than City were last season .

The challenge of Newcastle was a miustake on his part , but he did another great job at Blackburn and steered them clear of relegation , and they will be a pain in the ass next year of that you can guarantee .
Perhaps give a little respect where respect is due .

There is no need to compare Moyes with anyone .
He does his talking on the pitch , works hard at what he does , and has been rewarded with more manager of the year awards than anyone else in the league . His signings have been calculated risks that have paid off in some areas and not in others , but he does what he does well and is the epitome of the modern manager .

Do you want to talk about delusion ?

Everton haven't had a ' pot to piss in ' as you call it for some time , but they have the biggest top flight history of any club .
The way you talk about us , you would think we were clinging on for dear life , as opposed to being at the top end of the league where they are there on merit , and deservance , and not because some rich owner put them there .

Get one thing into your thick head . Reality is something that is real and proven . Everton are reality . Evertons stature in the game is reality .

Delusion is a City fan who slags off every other team because he is so cock sure that everyhing is going to work as hoped . Delusion is telling everybody that you are the biggest club in the world . Delusion is thinking that you have a right to succeed because you have money . Delusion is thinking that you can buy any player you want to , despite being told ' thanks but no thanks ' by many of your targets already . Delusion is thinking that presumption goes hand in hand with fruition .

You can stick your accusations of a lack of humility up your ass you obnoxious cretin .
Your fellow members must be cowering in embarrassment at your theories .

Thank God every City fan isn't as small minded as you .

1. Better team ? Not according to league tables where it counts .
2. More money ? How hard can a £20 note kick a ball ?
3. Better ground ? Bit quiet really compared to Maine road .
4. More fans ? Get real . Everton are a bigger team world wide hands down . Get over it .
5. Better kit ? Opinions opinions opinions . Your defence will only see the back of our kit anyway .
6. Better beer ? Do COMS sell beer to kids now ?

And we are not Manc and childish :o)

Whereas Kiam06 is clearly a moron (and I'd put money on 06 being his year of birth) you're counter points are either flawed or don't address the point.
1. Better Team. Last season, without doubt it was you, that's why you finished above us. This season? Only time will tell, but we've improved immensely with the 4 signings thus far.
2. More money. Well obviously we do, but your point about a £20 note kicking a ball is a bit dumb, money buys players, more money should equate to better players. Fairly simple.
3. Better Ground. Clearly we do, the atmosphere might not be the same as Maine Road was, but Goodison needs replacing, something you've been trying to do for a little while now.
4. More fans. It's quite hard to quantify but I'd be surprised if Everton were as globally recognisable as you think, apart from the FA Cup in the mid 90's you've not had success for 2 decades, neither have we but I'd say that puts us, at worst, on an even keil with you.
5. Better Kit. Yes it's an opinion, and I haven't seen Everton's new kit (if they've got one this season) but in order to be better than the one Umbro have come up with it'd have to be pretty special, if you get a chance have a look/feel of one, the material style and quality really is special.
6. Better beer. Now this one is unlikely as the beer at City, as well as most football grounds, is horrible water down tasting piss.

Lol , can't you tell when someone is joking ?
Thanks for taking the time though :o)

Would you rather be Everton or Manchester City? Even before the money.

We still had an improving team with lots of youngsters brought through and a much better ground and infrastructure to the club. Everton are just workman like and have mangaged to be best of the rest but our club has more ambition than that, they are quite happy with it.

Not for me.

Good point and sad reflection of the times were in on the football front. Whilst noting this City are now what we are i.e. loaded and can compete on the global stage for the best players. Everton are what they claim to be 'the people's club' unfortunately the people of the city don't finance them to the required level to challange at the top and hence they have hit their ceiling on a football level 'Europa league' !

Some fair points, but I don't agree with you about Allardyce.

He plays some absolutely awful football. OK he kept Blackburn up, but perhaps they should not have been down there in the first place. they were in disaray under Ince. Allardyce plays some awful football. The whole game is based around set-pieces, and deliveries into the box.

I really despise the way he sets his teams up to play football, although I would accept that it can be effective
