Evertons ground is tiny and there were still empty seats last season. They are a nice family club who will never progress, like a West Ham at best.
And without the influx of money from ADUG what makes you think we'd have progressed? Because we wouldn't. Everton have reached the pinnacle of what can be achieved in modern football without any serious financial backing.
Spot on that mate.

The very fact that Everton fans has infiltrated this forum proves that they see us as a serious threat to what they are trying to do, which is quite right. Also from some of the behaviour on here they are clearly envious of our situation. At the end of the day we will either get Lescott or get another defender of equal or better quality I really don't care which one it is, I am not concerned in the slightest to Everton as they are a spent force now there is some real competition they just don't have the resources to compete. Everton don't have money to improve their squad never mind build a new stadium so why some of our boys are taking the bait I don't know.

My conclusion is that I have greater concern about what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow than what Everton will do next year. I will spend my time thinking about the Chelseas and the Arsenals of the world thanks as that is who we will be competing with next year. As for Everton, I hope you enjoy your mid table dog fight 09/10, but please concerntrate on what your own team is doing rather than us, we are flattered with your interest but would like to be left to get on with our own bit thanks.

I presume this is aimed at me since most of what you've got yourself worked up about is stuff I posted.

Lets address the points shall we...

Moyes...Glorified Allardyce. Well, yeah. He's done very well with limited resources. Allardyce's, were in fact far more limited than those Moyes', plus Bolton really are a no mark club whereas Everton is up there with City, Spurs, Villa, as "sleeping giants" or whatever you want to call them. His "style" of play is, well lets put it politely shall we, closer to that of Bolton under Allardyce, than say, Martin Jol's style when he was Spurs manager. Once again, Moyes had done a very good job. I can understand why Evertonians feel so passionate about him. Much the same as However, IMO, he's a glorified Allardyce.

Secondly, I stated that Everton will go backwards next season. Why? Well, because you haven't got a fucking pot to piss in when it comes to transfers, whereas clubs like Spurs, Sunderland, ourselves, and even Villa, will be looking to strengthen significantly. Therefore, it would be delusional for you to think you can finish fifth again next season. That's reality. If that offends you, then tough shit, it's still reality.

Maybe if you had some humility as I suggested earlier, you'd accept your limitations as a club. You can still be proud of your club whilst acknowledging it's short comings...

You talk crap sometimes m8 . Seriously .

Allardyce doesn't need glorifying as you put it .
The guy is an exceptionally talented manager and gentleman to boot , and I can't for the life of me understand why you would look down upon his talent and experience at management level .
He was once the bookies / fans favourite to manage England , and when he was at Bolton , Bolton where a far stronger side than City were last season .

The challenge of Newcastle was a miustake on his part , but he did another great job at Blackburn and steered them clear of relegation , and they will be a pain in the ass next year of that you can guarantee .
Perhaps give a little respect where respect is due .

There is no need to compare Moyes with anyone .
He does his talking on the pitch , works hard at what he does , and has been rewarded with more manager of the year awards than anyone else in the league . His signings have been calculated risks that have paid off in some areas and not in others , but he does what he does well and is the epitome of the modern manager .

Do you want to talk about delusion ?

Everton haven't had a ' pot to piss in ' as you call it for some time , but they have the biggest top flight history of any club .
The way you talk about us , you would think we were clinging on for dear life , as opposed to being at the top end of the league where they are there on merit , and deservance , and not because some rich owner put them there .

Get one thing into your thick head . Reality is something that is real and proven . Everton are reality . Evertons stature in the game is reality .

Delusion is a City fan who slags off every other team because he is so cock sure that everyhing is going to work as hoped . Delusion is telling everybody that you are the biggest club in the world . Delusion is thinking that you have a right to succeed because you have money . Delusion is thinking that you can buy any player you want to , despite being told ' thanks but no thanks ' by many of your targets already . Delusion is thinking that presumption goes hand in hand with fruition .

You can stick your accusations of a lack of humility up your ass you obnoxious cretin .
Your fellow members must be cowering in embarrassment at your theories .

Thank God every City fan isn't as small minded as you .

No need for that DSOB, he disagrees with you and you call him an obnoxious cretin ? He was only giving his opinion. I can't see you being welcome here much longer if you carry on slagging off long standing members for having a different opinion.

You've let yourself down imo.

Good point and sad reflection of the times were in on the football front. Whilst noting this City are now what we are i.e. loaded and can compete on the global stage for the best players. Everton are what they claim to be 'the people's club' unfortunately the people of the city don't finance them to the required level to challange at the top and hence they have hit their ceiling on a football level 'Europa league' !
I'm not sure that's true. If a club gives it's manager time, I reckon they can still crack the top 4. Who are the Bundesliga Champions? Wolfsburg? Wasn't so long ago that Valencia won the Spanish league, and Sevilla won the UEFA Cup

everton got into the top 4, and were unlcuky to go out against Villareal. They've done it once. If Villa had bought in the January transfer window, perhaps they'd have beaten Arsenal to 4th last season

sorry to get back on to the topic of lescott but there seems to be murmers of toure, terry, and lescott being wanted by city and some seem to think we will be playing lescott at left back but my take on lescott is that he does not really like the left back postion so i cant see him coming knowing he will be shunted to the left???

No its not right, if Everton are so great why did ADUG not invest in them? Thats what I want to know, they clearly thought we were the more viable option. Everton can't get any investment that says it all to me.

Once again, maybe you should re-read what I posted. I think Moyes is a very good manager, who's done a great job at Everton.

Do you want to talk about delusion ?

Sure...go for it...

Everton haven't had a ' pot to piss in ' as you call it for some time , but they have the biggest top flight history of any club .

No doubt Everton have massively over-achieved under Moyes' tenure. I think both he and Kenwright have said as much on numerous occasions. Moreover, Kenwright had his hand out BEGGING for someone with lots of money to buy the club because he simply couldn't continue to build it beyond the ceiling they had reached...so, yes, in my mind it is delusional to think you are in a position to challenge the top four consistently. You're not, and won't be until a vast sum of money is invested in the club. Moyes is good, he ain't that good...

Get one thing into your thick head . Reality is something that is real and proven . Everton are reality . Evertons stature in the game is reality .

I haven't slagged your team off. Nor have I said City are the biggest club in the world. Nor have I said we have the right to succeed because we have money. I don't presume anything when it comes to City, I know better.

You can stick your accusations of a lack of humility up your ass you obnoxious cretin .
Your fellow members must be cowering in embarrassment at your theories .

I have opinions. You clearly don't agree with them. I think your lack of humility, and your inability to string together a decent point of view is an embarrassment to your club. However I won't go so far as to say you can stick your lack of humility up your arse, or for that matter to call you an obnoxious cretin. I can see that when faced with a point of view which you don't like, and one which has some semblance of truth, you get your knickers well and truly in a twist...

Thank God every City fan isn't as small minded as you .

I guess if my opinion on your club/manager makes me small minded the so be it...

Ironic that your name is "In the know" lol!

Were a spent force? Strange as everyones being saying that for the last few seasons and we've finished above all the teams who have outspent us and therefore were expected to finish above us.

Your narrow minded and quite frankly arrogant views are really laughable. Regardless of how well City's new team play next season we'll still but up there with you... to think we will only finish mid table at best demonstrates a serious lack of understanding about football as a whole. We finished 5th last season without Arteta and Yakubu for large parts, so with those two back and any new signings we make we'll do well. God why am I actually even trying to explain the fundamental aspects of football to you, you're clearly not all there!

If I can ignore being a snot gurgling bin dipping gutter licking Scouse c*** for most of my early days here , then I'm pretty sure someone else can put up with being called an obnoxious cretin . Long standing members have no heavenly immunity . If they give it , then they can take it . Simple .
It seems to be a problem with some people that they feel they can write what they want , and complain at responses .
I'm sorry if you feel I've let myself down , but I wasn't under the impression that I was here to score points . Only to talk about football , and try and do it in a polite manner , which compared to some , I feel I do very well m8 .
