Why do you rate those 2 players as better than Lescott ?
Rio is 30 soon , and both of those players face much less attack than Lescott , and neither play more than 1 position , or score regularly .

They're defenders, they're not paid to score.

I take it that since you only challenged 1 point , that you agree with the rest .

you show me a non-everton fan who thinks lescott is worth £30mil, and i will show you a liar. i hate to say it but what price the likes of ferdinand and vidic who are a class above lescott.

I'd rate them as better because, well, they're better. If you ask 100 football fans who was better, unless 1 was an Everton fan, they'd all say Ferdinand and Vidic.

Depends on who you know pal...

There will be a threshohold above which the Everton board will have their say...and believe you me, it ain't 30 million.

Only the likes of Chelsea can sniff at 25 million plus for a player. Your lot will be telling Moyes to shut his trap and move on if they see an offer of 20 million plus...

I know enough football players personally to fill a diary , and I couldn't tell you squat about what will happen . Kenwright has already stated it's Moyes who runs the show , and I doubt if Moyes said no , he would say yes .
A lot will depend on elsewhere in the market no doubt . It's important also to remember that City may not be the only club interested in Lescott .

Hahahahaha!

Okay, no problem. If Moyes really does run the show, and Lescott really isn't for sale, then I'm sure City will move on and sign someone else.

I'm sure there'll be no hard feeling from our side.

Vidic scored more goals (7) last season than Lescott(4). And scored more goals (34) in his career than Lescott (24). Rio also scored more last season (7).

Don't agree with any of it, but I see you've deflected my point and not answered it.

Bad logic there mate we are trying to buy lescott to play him as a centre-half the fact that he can do a decent job as a left back is an added bonus not a key reason for wanting to sign him.

Secondly, defenders are paid to defend not to score goals if he scores a few all the better but to suggest that he is better than Vidic or ferdinand is crazy as thay are the best partnership in the PL IMO.

To be fair , I didn't say he was better , but simply threw in a few points to consider .
