Neville seems to be opening his fly-trap mouth about City again. Never a wise thing!!

At the risk of repeating myself I really hope we pull out of this deal and look elsewhere.

Moyes will have to make do with his transfer budget without our money.

Oh dear, I forgot he hasn't got a transfer budget without the Lescott money. Call his bluff, move on and let him suffer I say.

I'd prefer Hangeland anyway.

I think we need to move on from Lescott now. It'd obvious Moyes and Everton do not want to sell. Also, this is the first signing where we've done our bidding in public. It doesn't look good TBH. Makes us look dresperate. If we really wanted him, we should have gone in straightaway with £20 and blown Moyes out fo the water first time. Then a final £22mill take it ot leave it bid. Pissing about with a starting bit here and a little rise there has only made Moyes and Everton dig their studs in. Lescott won't hand in a transfer request either.

Chuckle. shut the f*** up! <a class="postlink" href="http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/latest-sport-news/2009/07/30/neville-hits-out-at-city-84229-24279987/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/latest ... -24279987/</a> Rag c***!

Lol, A. i doubt moyes would be BOOTW by a twenty pound bid, and B. wtf is the reason in increasing the bid by £21,999,980? :D!

Terry - Bottled it
Kaka - Think would have come if AC hadnt bottled it
Eto'o - Hummm we pulled the plug on that one
Lescott - tbf I hope he stays 'cos we could buy much much better imo for the money you want, if/when we do sign him though I guess he would fit in for a year or two ;-)

Dont understand this "players only coming for money" argument either. If you worked for Ford and earned £30,000pa but then Skoda came and offered you £55,000pa plus better promotion prospects would you turn it down? The diff between our team and yours is the fact we do have the money now and that'll never run out, we may not finish above you this time around but I'm willing to bet you any amount we will the year after and we will win the Premier league long before you ever do my Evertonian bin dipper friends. And to say we are concerned is laughable tbh, dont forget the rags offered Tevez a nice pay rise and a 5 year contract like he wanted but he turned it down to join City! We have arrived like it or not and our first aim is to take "your" 5th spot, then Arsenals 4th and then push for that 1st place in a few years. How long before you're at that stage with no money?

Evertonian bin dipper = Quality! couldnt have said it better!

many people seem to be of the same opinion that we should move on, i tend to disagree lescott over the last 2 years has proven a top premiership defender, and he may hand in a transfer request or he may be tryin to iron this out as amicably as possible with moyes we just dont know, i agree with the public bidding bit that seems strange to me, but im not worried about funding evertons transfer kitty, we forget although they may get 20-25mil, that wont go on 1 player thats almost guarenteed and even if they were attracting players we wanted we could still out bid them, and top of all this there wage structure wont allow them to go for the top players. just my opinion but i think him and kolo could be a great partnership with ned supplying ample competition,

can you type that again dave i didnt quite catch it

by the way i agree..

We should forget Lescott and go for Agger. He's young, quite tall, classy and left sided. As an added bonus, we'd be taking away another play from one of the big 4. I'm pretty certain that Agger wanted to leave a few months ago.
