My perfect cousin.

Pam, everything with you is like solving a riddle.

;)

Someone asked me which fornicator of a perosn had told me that City had pulled out of the Lescott deal and I answered that it was my perfect cousin who told me this. What's so cryptic about that? That is not speaking in tongues, shirley.

Lescott needs to speak regardless, as for an Everton/city debate who cares, we don't play boring football unlike some, look at the game at coms
last year, you basically hoofed it up all game.

If we have offered £22mil no doubt it will also be rejected.

de ja vu i swear the exact same posts were apearing on the terry thread! i just wanna ask has there been any concrete reports that lescott actually wants a move? aren't we all assuming this rather than actually knowin this?

Being quoted on the BBC transfer update.

1519 BST: Manchester City are preparing an increased offer of £22m for Everton defender Joleon Lescott but the Goodison Park outfit remain adamant they will not sell the defender. (Press Association)

this matches the independant story from a few hours ago:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-city-plan-renewed-lescott-bid-1765586.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 65586.html</a>
Everton are bracing themselves for another Manchester City bid for Joleon Lescott but insist they will not sell the England international even for £30m.

Lescott arrived back from the club's Canada and USA tour today and is expected to play at Coventry on Sunday in the club's next pre-season friendly.

Everton have turned down bids of £15m and £18m from City and there is now thought to be a £22m offer on the table soon.

But club sources at Goodison Park are making it clear their attitude has hardened over the issue to the extent even a bid approaching £30m would be rejected.

Lescott is also now aware the only way that stance will change is if he asks for a transfer.

Chairman Bill Kenwright and boss David Moyes have been adamant all summer they will not sell any of the side that reached the FA Cup final and finished fifth in the Premier League last season.

Everton may be working under financial restraints but sources underline they are under no pressure from the banks to sell players, as has been the case in the past.

City boss Mark Hughes has refused to rule out another move for Lescott but Everton are making it very clear he is wasting his time unless Lescott changes the dynamics of the situation by demanding a move.

Moyes returns from the States keen to concentrate on his side's build-up to the season and he has two more friendlies next week at Blackpool on Tuesday and at home to Malaga next Friday to continue that preparation.

Everton probably want the money, but don't want dissaffected fans. Lescott doesn't want to be the bad guy either.

Not been on here for a little while but it sounds as though some of your fans are getting more and more arrogant day by day anyway Lescott if an increased bid is made of £22m it wont make any differece it will still be rejected unless Joleon speaks up and asks to leave and judging from what ive been told hes not likely to do such a thing.
