Actually it was great British prime minister Gordon brown that got him freed so yeh. I personally think he should be killed after what he has done and so do 99.9. Percent of the population

Well said. Salmon has to go. Brown has to go. End of story. It was tongue in cheek BTW all my dads family are from up your way.

I am deeply ashamed of the whole incident though. Welsh and scot bitterness is as bad as rag bitterness though in my eyes despite being a bit of a mixer myself.

Moyes criticises 'haggling' City
Sunday, 23 August 2009 17:55

Everton manager David Moyes has criticised Manchester City for trying to haggle over the price of wantaway centre-back Joleon Lescott.

The England international is expected to undergo a medical tomorrow after City finally came up with a bid which met the Merseysiders' valuation of the player.

Having rejected two previous offers - the first about £18 million - Everton are reported to have accepted £24 million from City for Lescott.

But Moyes is unhappy that the Eastlands club, bankrolled by Abu Dhabi's multi-millionaire Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan, were not prepared to pay what he thought was the going rate from the outset.

Asked if the Lescott deal was well advanced the Everton boss said: 'If they (City) say they are quite far on I'm sure they are.

'But we shouldn't have been asked to wait this length of time for an amount of cash we think was the correct value for the player.

'Real Madrid came in with the money (£80 million for Cristiano Ronaldo) for Manchester United the week after the end of the season.

'If the money had been offered in June it would have been a lot easier for us.

'The time is against us (to find a replacement).'

oh p1ss of gollum, stop moaning all the damn time, you lost accept it,

any of your players would jump ship to join the city revolution,,,, fortunately for you only lescott is good enough for us to notice from your little club!!

A scot ffs!

Not just a scot but a scot we never even elected as PM... and who will almost certainly be booted out in the next election (assuming he's still in power by then, which is by no means certain).

Everton boss David Moyes admitted that a deal is in place for Joleon Lescott to leave for Manchester City after his side's 1-0 defeat to Burnley.

Speculation surrounding the proposed move has disrupted the Everton camp as they slipped to their second defeat in the Premier League and they now lie bottom of the pile.

The only goal of the game came in the first-half from winger Wade Elliott before Louis Saha missed a second-half penalty to complete Moyes' misery as Burnley continued on from their midweek win over Manchester United.

However, after the game it was the Toffees' slender squad which caused Moyes' main concern and it looks set to be reduced further as he revealed the likelihood that Lescott would finally make the switch to Eastlands.

Referring to Lescott, Moyes told Sky Sports: "I think most people know, I think there's a deal there and it's going to go through if things can be agreed."

Moyes' threadbare squad was evident on Sunday as youngsters Shane Duffy, James Wallace and Jose Baxter took their place on a bench that severely lacked experience and the boss is aware he need reinforcements.

"We're hopeful to add to it," he said. "I'd like to get in four players if it's possible but time is running out."

Credit
The defeat to Burnley means Everton have conceded seven goals and scored just one in their opening two games but Moyes was willing to give Burnley credit for their win.

He said: "Another great result for Burnley, they started the game really well. They showed the confidence they've taken from the win against Manchester United.

"I think after that we had an awful lot of the game without creating an awful lot of chances. We certainly thought in that last 20-30 minutes we were liable to take at least a point."

Moyes is unconcerned by his side's shyness in front of goal so far in the league and pointed to their 4-0 midweek win over Sigma Olomouc in the Europa League as proof that they have goals in them.

"We scored four in midweek so I think we're capable of scoring but today I think we didn't have our shooting boots on. Not only the penalty, there was two or three other opportunities, and we didn't take them either," he said.

When a player says he wants to leave and hands in a transsfer request you cant expect the club he wants leave for to offer more than before

I know we are shit, but it's not a priority sport. I get annoyed at the English because they never let live. They are always banging on about how they won the world cup in 66, forgettting they shouldn't have, how they won the rugby world cup, how they lost out to the argues. I just can't be added with the biased views the English pundits have on their national teams. How they basically say we may as well have the world cup or euro cup now as we are going to win it anyway. And how they may as well not turn up and expect to win against opposing teams. That is what annoys me. I only like to see England win in football is when they include a good few city players in the team.

Rant over

Does this bitter tosser Moyes ever stop his sanctimonious whinging and bleating?

Madrid had been chipping away at Ronaldo for an entire season before they made any bid...Ferguscum said "I wouldn't sell that lot a virus"..before being forced into selling him.Using Madrid as some kind of "business yardstick" to beat us with is utterly laughable.

The similarities and myopia of the grating, ungracious, carping Moyes and Ferguscum are now so similar it's not true.

Bull Sh*t. It was SNP only. If Brown would have got involved they would shout it from the rooftops. Don't believe the spin from the papers or SNP.
One mans choice and he made a bad one. Full stop.
