He was awesome mate.Just ask Bayern.

Still plays for Bayern they even let Brazils captain go before him.

THing of all the years service we would hav ehad out of him for £2.5 million. What really hurt was all the shit keegan brought in for big money and we couldnt scrape the money together to keep him.

We could have bought him three times over for less than what we paid for Macken, and just a bit more than what we paid for Negioui.

Well another day and we are still waiting for Lescott to decide whether he has a pair or is willing to stay at Everton on a third of what we are offering him, not to mention the improvements in his personal life and potential for career advancement.....

Meanwhile Newsnow is getting in the morning papers :

If they get on his back he will really get scared...

Not exactly going to convince him to stay there is it?! If he does get abuse then you'd like to think he'll soon get over his writer's block and finish that transfer request pretty damn quick.

I'm still underwhelmed that we're having such a saga over Joleon Lescott......he's really not worth it either the money or City's persistence but if we do get him I hope he's a success and I guess if Hughes think's he'll improve us fair enough.

THIS IS A LESCOTT THREAD

And it's pretty much all been said mate, unless you've got a "hidden gem" in caps lock we can all share.
Some of us who were just thinking out loud about a class player.
Forgive us,won't you?

;-)

If he really wants to leave he could put up a big stink so for me he's got no bottle. If redknapp was our manager we would have had the lescot two weeks ago he is the brown envelope manager for me.

Ahahaha, only the scousers could say please stay at our club through a shit load of abuse.

I don't want to turn this into a Hughes-out rant (crap though he undoubtedly is), but he is inexperienced compared to their managers and he had never been a defender either. It would hardly be surprising if he didn't know how to coach the back four from a positional/tactical/defensive point of view, would it.
Very good point. So Hughes does all the coaching on his own, without advice or input from specialists in their field? Makes you wonder how any of the current 'Big 4' have maintained their levels of consistency, as none of them bar Chelsea (with Mourinho) has had a coach who has been a goalkeeper.
