I would not mind both Lescott and Westermann ..... given the choice I would go for the German ... younger and would cost half the amount

disagree mate, 18m was/is alot of money, with this years inflated fees i think its a fair price for a proven prem player, this imho would be a fantastic buy for us, 100% guaranteed no risk whatsoever.
Personally I'd take a chance on Westermann. Then again we could buy both :D

I know where your coming from, westerman may need to get a season under his belt, where as lescott hits the ground running, MH will not be gambling this season.

Richards is young and maybe he has struggled due to the fact we had a new manager last season that had new tactics and a new demands. a usually solid richard dunne also struggled under Hughes. they just need time to adapt to the changes. if hughes is getting a chance can the players not be afforded the same grace, it's all new to them too ?

That's a fair comment.
Well said bob.
People drooling over Tevez.
Remember the "Giovanni" Derby.
Micah never gave him a sniff.
He'll come good.......again

Have to strongly disagree mate, as a whole team the Rats wiped the floor with us that day, only bizarre luck kept us in it - could have been a masacre....Richards 'looked' great but in reality he was awful, getting caught out of position so many times, and ball watching, but his incredible pace got him out of his own mess......Richards is a rb nothing more....needs to kick on next season because i love his drive and think he has the world at his feet if he progresses as we all hoped he would.......but NEVER a cb!!!

Everton fans are pretty confident of a takeover from that mystery arab who bought 60% of a prem club this week.
would this scupper the lescott to city deal tolmie?

I'd save all the messing around and pay the £18,000,000 for him personally. It would significantly weaken a top six opposition team albeit temporarily as I would fully expect David Moyes to reinvest the money into his squad wisely, perhaps signing Miguel Veloso (we have no need for him) and a defender to replacing Jolean. I'd be quite happy with this signing.
