23 not a chance its retired (FOE)

Hands up. I wasn't thinking. Just came to mind that 23 is popular with a lot of players at other clubs.

Shame on me.

...

Now let's get Lescott signed up! Last minute hitches don't sound great.

Just like I have said, the reason Everton fans are so upset about the Lescott deal is that they consider themselves a bigger club. Who exactly are the arrogant ones ?

I know. Moyes hasnt had to sell a player that wasnt wanting to go IMO. Lescott was a big player for us, especially when we've only got 1 fit centre half. Citeh are small time that now have big money so Moyes told them to **** off. Its almost as if Sunderland (who have money) came in for Lescott, should've have we sold to them if they were interested? Of course not.

Seriously dippers, you need to wake up and realise that times they are a changing.

Fair enough but some of you need to realise you haven't achieved anything yet.

I'll be the first to admit that, but it does annoy me that the main reason Everton fans are so upset about the Lescott deal, is the fact that they think we are beneath them.

They even go as far as wishing United would make a late bid. That's just pathetic tbh.

We may have under achieved for the last 30 years, but we have never been a small club.

Take a look at the chairmans interview on the OS and see just what we are on the verge of.

This is no false dawn, ADUG are no fly by nights. They are serious and City are back.

Lescott wherever you may be
You are the one who pissed off Moysey
And you'll lead the blues wherever we may be
Cos' you've come to City to win trophies
(To Lord of the Dance)

It's late but I thought I had something there.

Jealousy probably explains the negative reactions. I for one am happy with the deal, anyone in our team except Jags, Cahill, Arteta and maybe Pienaar is replacable.

I honestly hope Moyes gets the bulk of the transfer fee. I can't see you easily replacing Lescott though. There aren't that many good versatile centre backs/left backs around.
Moyes will have to gamble with a foreign player. Hughes doesn't have that luxury, hence paying over the odds for Lescott/Santa Cruz/Bellamy etc.

That's what it looks like he's doing with this Russian winger. 1 Capable centre back and left back cover (Ball on a 1 year deal would be perfect) Should be enough to fill the void.

How will the fans react if your bad start carries on? Will they get on his back or blame Kenwright ?

Kenwright, without a hint of hesitation.
