Re: official move for Lescott today...

Alright darker shade..you seem like a level headed fella but got to say...
Lescott may want to join a side that has higher aspirations that to finish 5th in the league.. and even though we may not achieve that next season at your expense , the chances of us consistently challenging for the title within the next 5 years are substantially higher than yours.

Therefore if your offered Dunne or Jo or Richards plus cash and the player wants the move then the Everton board should take what they can get.... that cash will help your excellent manager pick another bargain and keep you ticking over till you join the money train !..

For those saying a good deal for Everton is Dunne and 15m, or 15m and Jo on loan, you clearly have no idea about football or are just being disrespectful to Everton and Moyes.

Dunne is a bit of a cart horse and not good enough for Everton.

Pot. Kettle. Black. Or is respect a one-way street?

I happen to agree with you that anyone thinking Moyes will go for a deal at £15 million plus anyone on loan is mad - Moyes has no history of being bullied into transfers he doesn't want. There is another factor though, which is how Lescott sees the relative positions of the two clubs over the next four years, when he'll be in his prime. Everton will be there or there abouts next season, no doubt, but they're constantly doing it on a very thin budget and Moyes is clearly going to be in demand as a result of it. Everton won't be able to cut it spending-wise with The Rags, Us, Chelsea, Spurs or Villa so they're more at risk in terms of the vagaries of the transfer market than we are - that's a double edged sword, Lescott might not want to move to a club if he thinks that he'll be replaced by the next standard up in two years time.

I suspect Lescott will need to come out and say he wants a move. If he does, a deal I think will happen - £15 million plus Jo might be enough.

All good points, and we agree on most things I see.

One thing though, once Kirkby Stadium has been officially written off which it will be, there is a deal alledgedly in place to buy the club, which has been put about for about for 3 months now by ITK people on Everton boards.
Everton will not be in that position for ever, and Moyes hands will not be tied forever! In 2 years time Everton could be a completely different story ;)

For all the Everton fans on here...

1) Fuck off.
2) Why did Shrek leave you?
3) Taking 2# into consideration, does Moyes get bullied into business?

Obviously you are not able to hold a reasonable debate without being a prick, so not really worth answering.
