Always a little concerned when 1 of our better players is linked with a move away, but am not hearing anything conclusive to worry me too much on this one

TB !, I dont know if it is me or not that Matty refers too but I have indeed spoken directly to an everton first team player who has conveyed that his understanding of the situation is that Lescott wants the move to City and would rather it all be amicable, however if not then he will force the issue. I would much rather not name the player as he really doesnt want to rock the boat and reiterated this when sharing what he knew (actually at the time of the first phone call he knew very little as the players were all over the place and not all in contact with each other, as he is best friend to a family member of mine he kindly followed up on my question and came back with the info stated). If this deal does not come off (it will) then I take responsibility for some peoples faith in this and will consider naming the player and the dates and source of the info. Clearly this will only be if the player has been less than honest in his info, which I still very much doubt. I will attempt to get some more info from him this week but am unlikely to be able to do anything before wednesday due to restrictions caused by my own family contact.

No real thoughts on it to be honest Matty. I have enough experience on Everton forums to know that stories like this are always appearing and not all, in fact 99% of them are complete Bull.


1) Why would an Everton player tell someone about Lescott knowing full well its likely to be appear on 1 of these forums?
2) I can only assume this happened last season, yet still no indication from JL that he is remotely interested in a move
3) I highly doubt Moyes would leave himself so open to abuse, as i doubt Moyes wouldnt know about JL's intentions

Sounds interesting . Seen him in the U21's I think but not much else .

Onuoha is class. IMO a better prospect than Lescott was at 21/22. I'm almsot certain he will not be leaving. Everton have ased for £15M + Ned or £20M upfront.

Just caught up with the Lescott situation on SSN. They led by saying that the Everton fans were making their voices heard at the game with Bury on how much they want him stay, then they cut to the footage !

Jesus, I felt a bit sorry for Lescott it sounded like a only a couple of bin dippers were bothered or had the mental capacity to string together the one word song. I bet Lescott was embarrassed and thinking he can't wait for the tranfer to go through so he can go and play for a big club where the fans at least can get a song going with more than 3 joining in.

It's a mater of time till his shirt is a lighter shade of blue !

I'd do the 20mil everytime over 15 + Ned. It might only be a season or two until Ned is better than Lescott anyway
