Lescott [Merged]

If SSN reports are accurate, then IMO lescott must have put in a transfer request. Hughes has always said its about sitting back and seeing how deals 'develop' and that city will make their move accordingly. They'll be in the loop re: lescott and will have been informed of his request to leave, prompting an immediete bid. This also puts the negioating power into our hands, so while there may be an increase, it shouldn't go over 20m.

However, if im talkin bullshit, I would still expect a 2nd bid to be accepted, regardless of transfer request. I just believe the above to be the correct situation.

Where is all this Ned shit coming from? I thought Hughes put that to bed days ago.

I thought that too. It would be a pointless deal if we include Nedum IMO.

£18,000,000 to £20,000,000 and I'm not fussed really. It's nowt to our owners really is it? They make £200,000,000 a day for gods sake!

Transfer request? It's only The Mirror but it's plausible.

Joleon Lescott is set to join Kolo Toure at Manchester City as Mark Hughes's spending spree continues.

Toure is expected to complete a £14million switch from Arsenal in the next 24 hours, with Everton's Lescott poised to join him.

Hughes has tabled a £15m bid for Lescott, but with Everton sticking to their £20m valuation, the defender is prepared to make the next move to break the impasse.

He is ready to tell DavidMoyes he wants to go to Eastlands in an attempt to drag the Everton boss back to the negotiating table.

Everton may respond by demanding Nedum Onuoha in part exchange. City's England Under-21 international can play centre-half or full-back and would help plug the gap left by Lescott.

Arsene Wenger yesterday agreed Toure's transfer and the centre-half flew home from Arsenal's pre-season training camp in Austria to meet
City.

The Ivory Coast defender, in the final season of his contract at the Emirates, was due to have a medical today and finalise personal terms.

That should be a formality; he has been offered a four-year, £90,000-a-week deal, 50 per cent more than he was on at Arsenal.

SSN ticker had MCFC will lodge another bid for Lescott last night...

They aren't in the loop just guessing.

Ned is going nowhere....

If that the case for sure then Lescott would cost us at less £20m - £25m.
