Just shows how far Micah's let himself go when people think he's not as good as Jagielka. 12 months ago we wouldn't have swapped Everton's whole team for him. He needs a big kick up the arse.

Imo everton are a much better organised team than City with players suited to their style of play. Most of those players wouldn't suit our style or look very good in it but one or two would. Everton are brilliant at set pieces & that side of the game but we're better at the pure football side although lacking in key areas. A mixture of the two would be ideal but it'll be easier for us to become good at the things Everton are good at than the other way around.

I'd much rather have our squad & bulid on it because I think we're on the right track & we'll go past them in the near future, perhaps in the VERY near future. Good luck to them though.

Jagielka really is fantastic. If you have watched his recent performances against Liverpool, Liverpool, Arsenal and United you would know he is good. And he is normally better too!

Every Evertonian was shocked when he wasnt picked for England and Lescott was.

Interesting!

How much is he...?

I think we all would agree which bloke we'd have to manage this hybrid team...?

Moyes for me...

Hmm..

Moyes - Great at transfers, boosting team morale, picking the team, but he is absolutely AWFUL at substitutions...

The problem we had last season was the teams basically knew our threat = Petrov and Elano, nullify them, and we won't score. That meant against any team that was competent at shutting a player down, we weren't going to score (considering our set-pieces were so bad). So in many matches, expecially against the likes of Everton, Petrov would get totally shut out, if any team gave him a bit of space he could destroy them though.
i miss petrov... when hes back i think it will be

-----------------------GIVEN-------------------------

---ZABELETA---DUNNE---RICHARDS---BRIDGE---

---------------DE JONG---KOMPANY----------------

---------------------ROBINHO-----------------------
--SWP------------------------------------PETROV--
-----------------------BELLAMY---------------------

Thankfully, Hughes recognizes the pit of despair that are your two CBs. De Jong and Kompany will have enough to do helping out Robinho and Petrov (two no-tacklers) without having to babysit tweedle dum and tweedle dumber for 90 minutes.

Probably worth about £10 million, it would be double that if he played for a top 4 team, but if City were to enquire...id ask for £50 million...you can afford it :P

Fair enough... You can always ask!

Nah, what we need is to be patient and build a team like Everton and Villa have done... Then hopefully we can go further as we have that extra cash to get to the summit, consistently...

But it's going to take at least two seasons, and probably more... But you know what, I can wait that long because at long last it looks like we might at least be knocking on the door consistently... This season we SHOULD finish 7th but we'll see eh..?

Next season, secure a Euro-disney League spot then really push on into the heart of that Four-Headed Monster... Like Villa currently are!

We have no divine right to success just coz we got cash... It's going to take a lot more than that!

Good move all round for both parties, they get a striker, Jo gets some experience and hopefully without the booing, we get a cracking center back and hopefullly a good striker back at the end of the season.

They'll boo him alright, once they find out how shit he is.

I'll be glad when everybody shuts up for five minutes. Transfer windows represent all that is evil in human nature and must be denounced.

People who are saying Kompany rather than Lescott. How so? Who scored more goals? Who has more clean sheets? (CLUTCHING AT STRAWS) who has the better points on fantasy footballs? Lescott i think you may find.

And De Jong...... he may come up trumps but after 1 game how is it possible to judge him against anyone in our squad. 1 premier league game!!!

PS City have 'some' good players but cant for the life of them play as a team.

oh and my choice of team is

----------given-------------

zab-----jags-----lescott-- bridge or baines as i haent seen bridge play in ages

SWP---- Fellaini---Arteta----Petrov

----------Cahill---------------

---------Robinho-----------
