Lescott

Played great last night. The only mistake he made was a dodgy pass towards the end of the game straight to a Spanish player, apart from that he was first class.
Also if I were Mancini I would make a bid for Jagielka in the January window.
If Kompany gets injured for a long period of time we can kiss the Premierleague title goodbye as we have no quality back up (Savic still learning, Toure looks like he's leaving)
A quality C/B is what we need and buying Jagielka would rubber stamp the title imo.

It would also wind up a golum-like tw@t no end, which would be good for its entertainment value alone.

As I said to the other guy, we're discussing Lescott. Just because I had a minor criticism doesn't mean you have to take a pop at a Spurs player.
You didn't mind coming on here to have a little dig at Joleon though, did you?
at times he does seem a bit uneasy on the ball at times

If you don't like it, tough. You're on a Man City forum. When you come on here finding fault with one of our players I'll answer back in kind. If you think that's harsh , may I suggest you go back to ''Glory Glory'' or what ever that insipid forum is called. Oh, and by the way; you only need to say ''at times'' once in that sentence.

At times I may over-use the saying at times.

As an Englishman is he not essentially one of my players as well? Although I guess the same argument could go for you with Dawson (assuming you are an England supporter of course). My comment is a genuine criticism and your comment was a wind up attempt.
My comment wasn't a wind up attempt, by no means. I just don't rate Dawson as a a top drawer CB. Positionally he can be very iffy at times and he isn't overly quick. Look at Aguero's goal against you; from a starting position behind Dawson (obviously, otherwise he'd have been offside) Kun just eased past Dawson and, well, you know the rest. King is by far a better CB, way ahead of Dawson. Even Woodgate was a better defender, only that he couldn't stay fit. As for your comment re. me being an England supporter; well, sort of I suppose. Despite me living in ragdom over here I was born in Manchester so I would like to see England do well, although they won't win fuck all with that current clown in charge.

He had a good performance for sure, but at times he does seem a bit uneasy on the ball at times. That'd be my only criticism.
I'd have him over Dawson, easily. Your lad was like a rabbit in the headlights when we played you ''down the Lane''. During this calendar year it would be a close call between Joleon and Micah as to who our most improved player is.

an eye for an eye

Thought he did really well (no mention of him on SSN this morning either). I don't remember him going to ground or even having to in the whole game (that's why he didn't get motm).
On the other hand he had a wall of white shirts in front of him so was able to pick his times to come out, but his reading of the game is improving all the time.

Thought the full backs were crap - Jimmy got better and better and the less said about the Jones experiment the better (couple of promising moves broke down when Jones got the ball).

"BUY HUMMELS!!!! HE'S GOT BETTER STATS ON FOOTBALL MANAGER!"

Just marshalled the England defence and blocked out Spain completely. Hats off to Joles, easy MotM despite Lahndahn boy Parker predictably getting it.
I'm a big Lescott fan. He's been the best defender in the Premier League after a whole quarter of the 2011-12 season. Now he wants to take over the international scene too. Get in there Joleon fella!

We need a new centre back and we could do a lot worse than Jagielka imo. Everton are absolutely brassic as well so I couldn't see them turning down a decent offer....

It must help him when he up against the likes of
Merlin,Super Mario,Kun etc in training everyday

Indeed, even playing against Tevez last year, Robinho when he was here would have helped.

It was noticeable how composed he was, not fazed at all by Spain's passing game

Correct, he's been the best defender around so far this season, yet for some reason many people, including City fans, wait for him to make a mistake & blow it out of proportion, as if Vinny or Vidic or JT never make a mistake.

Well done JL.
