Lescott

Was MDM not Kolos replacement? We have currently 4 CBs in Kompany, Nastasic, Lescott and DeMichelis plus Rekik on loan. We don't need anymore CBs then four. With the 25 man squad rules we will have to sell before we buy I think Lescott will be released at the end of the year and a replacement found (hopefully Rekik), to sell him now would be very silly but to loan him out would be madness, January is an expensive month to sign players and new players take time to settle. We are fighting on four front time we should stick with what we have this window.

I wouldn't let Lescott go . I still think Lescott are best centre back next to Kompany .

He's the 3rd choice LCB and no he isn't the best partner for vk not by a long shot

As often posted would be crazy for us to let him go in January given the injury history of Nasty , VK and Martin ( all had two periods of significant periods on the sidelines this year ) unless a better , younger replacement that can go straight into the first eleven is already on their way.

Doesn't make much sense for the player himself either at this time of the season given what he could achieve this season and given his likelihood of significant game time for the rest of the season.

He is under the delusion that he's good enough to make the world cup squad (he isn't) and he would hey now game time at West ham and I am not advocating selling him either but I do believe he's a massive liability against any good team. He's really fallen off tbh

I appreciate that Lescott isn't everyone's cup of tea, but to let him go mid season whilst we're still in four competitions would be ridiculous. Even if we bring someone in to replace him, that's a new face, time to settle, get to know your team mates, etc.

like Jole and respect he was part of the title winning team but hes gone downhill, espec last 12 months. 4th choice CB fine till summer but he'll be off no doubt. City will get a top level CB in summer window.

Nastasic looks mighty confident on the ball and I don't think Lescott puts off attackers in quite the same way. He is visibly nervous at times. I remember that Norwich player just waltzing past him last season - that kind of thing shouldn't be happening, if we want to be European Champions! Though it wasn't just Lescott who slipped up that time.

It makes me wonder if it was that back injury. He does seem a bit slower than he used to be? He gets caught out of position more than he used to, I'm sure.

I wish City had gone in for Matic, who could have been a nice fit with Lescott. But then we would have ended up with a massive surplus of midfielders lol

CONCLUSION: I would sell Lescott, but ONLY if we can identify and sign a superb all round defensive player, who can cover several positions if needed. Mangala is the man. Sign him, offload Joleon.
