Lescott

I'm sure he doesn't 'want' to leave but he does want to play and needs to secure his future, his next contract might be his last.

I hope he stays. I'm still undecided on my favored CB partnership but it's a close run thing between Vinnie/Joleon & Vinnie/Nasty

We will definitely not give Lescott another contract.

I appreciate we want to do the right thing by him - he seems like a decent fella who's done a good job for us and I think he's been a little unfortunate in more recent times. But we have to look after ourselves too - what on earth is the point in letting him go now unless we sign some cover in January ? If we do, let him go but if not, we must keep him til the summer or we are simply too exposed in that position.

Manchester City will allow Joleon Lescott to go if replacement is found
• West Ham United and Fulham vying for defender
• Manuel Pellegrini linked to Porto pair and Bayern's Dante

Joleon Lescott will be allowed to leave Manchester City before the end of the transfer window if Manuel Pellegrini can secure a replacement, with West Ham United and Fulham vying to sign the central defender.

A £90,000-a-week offer from West Ham to Lescott that would pay him £70,000 per week, even if the club is relegated, remains on the table and although it is unclear if Fulham can match those terms, the 31-year-old's future depends on City bringing in a defender.

It is thought City retain an interest in Porto's Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolás Otamendi, plus Bayern Munich's Dante, who is also interesting Manchester United.

Fair play to him as he wants regular first team football and there is not much chance in our current set up. Thanks for your contribution Joleon and good luck.
