I hope this news isn't true. Kinda feel like deals like this disrupt the team in the middle of the season.

Bit gutted by this hope its not true was a great player for us and will be hard to replace if we sign a big name it could hurt Nastasic development cause he wont get as many games, and in my opinion Demichelis will probably leave or retire at the end of his contract. Which could leave us looking for CBs in the summer transfer window for the next two seasons. I really hope Manny rates Rekik and he replaces Lescott.
I'd be surprised if we let him go in January, unless we have a deal agreed for another centre half.
Seems more plausible that he's negotiating a deal for summer, as he's obviously entitled to do now that his contact only has six months to run. He's been a great servant for the club, but as with Kolo and Barry I think FFPR and the desite for more games make his departure inevitable. As someone else has said though, I'm surprised there aren't Premiership teams willing to offer him a contract at £40k a week. Still got a lot to offer.

Looks like Argentinian Mateo Musacchio is a candidate for CB.

Lescott as been a very good signing for us . He impressed me when he played for Everton . He was brilliant in that match when Everton beat us 1-0 at Goodison park in 2008 .

I think he really appreciated the fans chanting his name / he's top of the league when he was warming up today. He undoubtedly help us lift the prem trophy a couple of years back. Whilst he might not be the most elegant footballer, he does the basics as a CH very well. I suspect he will leave. I for one think he has been top pro for City. His header at Villa away in the lead up to the prem, was a stand out moment.
