let me tell you a story...

Just had a text of a mate

Rumour is Tevez is on a tax dodge as well by spending so long out of country. Nothing to do with compassionate leave.

I thought he doesn't pay tax

This exactly. I think the club have shown dignity in this affair. We now have no need whatsoever to justify/explain/submit to media pressure or in any way listen to more and more outrageous claims and demands from some arsehole parasite of an agent or the so-called hurt feelings of this ungrateful little twat.
Yes, he is no doubt a great player but the best medicine for these types is a severe dose of disinterest. A bit of seat warming in pissing rain and wind in January whilst ignoring his whining about ''homesickness'' at the same time as watching our new striker getting his first hatrick will make us City fans chuckle.
This is not a catastrophe by any means, we own the little shit for the next 3 years and it is our call on any possible moves or requests he or his grasping puppet master may make.
What I can't understand is his gripe with some of the City board. His only contact should be with the manager. Citing Cooke or others as instigators of his unrest smacks, to me, of being told to swivel when asking for more money.
Like most footballers Tevez is not overly endowed with grey matter and it looks like his agent controls everything about him; Rooney's recent antics followed the same pattern. The club is everything. Tevez is'nt.

I hope some posters will appreciate why I did not want to drop a hand grenade re Carlos situation earlier in the week.

The Kia Joorabachian and Apocaplyse Now in the transfer threads were just pointers, City were and are ahead of the game on this.

Many things are ambigious (admittedly frustrating) for a variety of reasons and personal relationships.

Obviously, blues will be hurting - but please keep the faith with both the club and Carlos.

Joorabachian makes Paul Stretford look like a rank amateur.

There are elements to Carlos' displeasure, but it comes down to one cold truth MONEY.

A Rooney situation in many aspects. Tevez has such a close relationship with his agent - best man at his wedding, godfather to his children.

There is plenty of things to run on this. Tevez's situation is unique in that for the first time in his career, it is US who own him.

Keep the faith and a brighter January will emerge around the corner. Worst case scenario, it will be put to bed until the summer.

thought twice before looking at the site last night and today and my fears were right....so many half baked tales of inside info and told you so post!!!

THIS IS NOT ABOUT MONEY there is more to this that may come out soon but a lot of things going on at top level in the club over last 3 weeks re a number of players
i know for 100% he wont be going in jan but there is a real fear that he will at the end of the season as iys out of citys control

not saying to much as only a very handfull of people are in the loop and it will be know where its been leaked...call me whatever ya like i know a lot of very clued up posters stoped coming on here and i cant blame them with some of the bile posted

come what may carlos will be with us or he wont......with the power and ambition we know have we can replace him over night if and when we need to.......until then he wears the blue shirt and should be treated so

No shit Sherlock. I wish i was as informed as yourself with quotes like that.

And you wonder why you're not being taken seriously?

This situation shouldn't really surprise anyone. Look at the history of Tevez and his agent and think also about his background before football.

Gifted player though he is, Tevez is the ultimate mercenary. The guy has literally sold himself before now and too many other people have a piece of him.

Now here is a harsh reality: With Tevez City could win the Premiership this season. Without Tevez they can't.

I reckon winning the Premiership is worth several hundred million to City and no doubt Carlos and Co know that too.

It's a bitter pill to swallow, but Carlos Tevez is irreplacable at present. City will give him more money, get the success on the pitch and fuck him off in the summer.

hard to argue with this.

cunts

Wasn't it mentioned a few weeks ago that Kia was thrown out of the ground and banned.

Also I don't believe this bollox about homesick because he joined us because his family were settled in Manchester.

This boils down to ego's and IMO it's between Cooke, Marwood and Kia.

The difference now is Carlos is owned by the club and not the agent and it's up to us how we deal with the transfer request (been refused and backed by Sheik Mansour) and if the player stays or goes.

If Carlos retires from the game then he owes the club a fortune and the money grabbing agent wont back him up then.

Carlos needs to ditch this Prick but as previously said he his a big part of his life.

First thing the club needs to do now is appoint another captain and IMO Kompany or De Jong will do.

I think we have late entries to the 2010 Bluemoon "stupidest comment of the year" and "the best comeback of the year."

I cannot stop laughing at these

I'd like to take the chance to stop the bickering that has started on this thread and focus back on the original post.

Thanks for this piece of info Tolmie, it does give some reassurance that there is light at the end of tunnel on this one. I for one would hate to see Tevez leave, and although I hate to admit it, I would pay him what hes asking. Hes by far our most consistent goal threat, and for that reason he is invaluable at this moment in our journey.

I understand Tolmie that you need to protect yourself / source when giving info, however from reading your post, the following questions spring to mind, which if you can, I would be greatful if you give us a little more info..

1) What are city doing to be ahead of the game, if the problem is simply money and a greedy agent? Tev wont leave Kia due to the family / personal connections you mentioned. If the problem is money and we are ahead of the game, wouldnt we just pay them?

2) "Worst case scenario is that it will be put to bed until the summer". Does this mean thay to your knowledge he will definately not be going in the summer, despite the comments hes has made about the situation?

Thanks for any update you can give Tolmie.

I hate to question your ITK status but this post could have been knocked up by anybody with a basic knowledge of football and google.

This. A bit of stoic silence works wonders. If Tevez/Joorabchian keeps releasing increasingly more argumentative statements against a wall of silence, it'll make them look like even bigger twats.

If what you read is correct (I know) then Tevez has already been offered a 5 mill sweetner which he has turned down.

So he is either one seriousely greedy b*stard or its not about money.

This is like the Rooney affair - no matter what now Tevez would not be thought of by some in the same way. This should have been put to bed until Jan or summer as we have serious fixtures to play before the window even opens
