Liam Delap signs new contract until 2026

I keep hearing about his aggression. Is he a bit of a loose cannon or does he just get stick for being a bit over eager.
Or does he just have that Horlockesque walk

I've got a good feeling about Liam. I think he will actually break through into this team eventually.
It's great news that we have got him until 2026.
Hopefully do what we did with Phil. Give him a few games in league and cup to see if he can hack it and if he can he's in next season regardless.

Here's his game against Derby U21s, he sees red at 81 mins, about 2:35 into the video.

Make your own mind up. Petulance I would say.
That's not to say he doesn't have a healthy amount of aggression in his game, he certainly does.

Oh right. I had forgot bout that. Maybe it is cos he was at Derby as a nipper and he has a bit of a gripe with them?

I feel it would be a smart move to ignore Kane and give Liam more first team chances this season, and go for Haaland or Mbappe next summer. It would give Jesus the vote of confidence as the main striker, and it is then up to him. Liam might be a marginal player but bring him in as a sub, for Carabao and FA Cup against smaller teams, let’s see what he can do.
Not sure how that would help him , signing Haaland would only limit his options. Signing a 28 year old Kane and he will see a pathway to progress in two or three years. If Jesus stays as well as Kane comes a loan would be his and our best interests.

Kane's arrival, coupled with his inexperience/rawness,will render his opportunities very slim at best,so rather than wasting the first year of that nice new contract......a loan to a Championship club, where he can learn his trade properly, would be far more productive.
You're confident on Kane still coming then pal?

Yeah think he was sent off twice against Derby, obviously a bit of needle there
He's young so he'll hopefully be mentored and grow out of the worst of it.

Makes sense why he wasn't loaned out then, would only have had a year left next summer after a loan and been agitating on the transfer market with lots of suitors. Now he's tied down he can go out if we get the striker we want.
