can I just say I don't see why anyone needs the "holier than thou" attitude on here, it's getting quite cheap insult and patronising tone instead of just sticking to facts/opinions.

just an observation.
Shhhh. All you do is observe and nit-pick JMW. You don't actually add anythhing to the debate. You are not a mod (though you are criticising atleast one), you are not a referee nor are you anyone's big brother that needs to defend anyone.

Subjects such as these can evoke passionate criticsm or defence and you would perhaps understand this if you actually had an opinion (as oppose to your usual "observations"). Now if you have nothing to add other than this, kindly butt out

i gave my opinion.

just don't see why you can't just express yours without your usual patronising approach that comes with it.

then again, your first line shows you don't read many of my posts.

as for mods, totally irrelevant. It's just called common courtesy.

Anyway...don't worry, I'll "but out".
Many thanks

We are born, we live our lives, we die and then we are born again to live exactly the same life in exactly the same period of time as before.

This process is repeated over and over and is why we experience deja vu. Suicide is the only way to break the cycle.

Ahahahahahahaha!!!

Really? How would you know that is how to 'break the cycle'??

Wouldn't it be funny to find out that you were perpetually committing suicide in every life...??

And deja vu isn't neccessarily about knowing you've been in place there and then. What about people, like me, that have had visions 3 years ahead?? To me, that means I'm, at least, alive until that period. Which means I ain't gonna commit suicide, by that virtue.

Is there any proof that I'm destined to live on, naturally? Or that attempting suicide would prove fatal in order to not 'see ahead'?

Too many variables.

I can't work out whether he's a parody or not.

"I believe in this because of the Bible".
"I believe in the Bible because it's the Word of God"
"It says that the Bible is the Word of God in the Bible".

When the big JC comes back we can ask him, maybe even get him to post in this thread and put the whole issue to bed : )

Spot on Damocles.

Glad to see the Catholic priest watching and listening.

He might be thinking, why have I been brought in to listen to this ridiculous debate.

I always identified Uwe as an Evangelical Christian, and in the interests of Christian Unity I'm happy to agree on many things but not this one.

Can I point out once again that CREATIONISM is a historical response to the excesses of German Philosophers who took Darwin's teachings way too far leading to the first world war.

Uwe, do you believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world today or was only needed to establish the Bible?

Wow Paul, ever thought of studying history as 20 century wars would not appear a strong point.

I am an evangelical Christian. I believe the Holy Spirit is active in the world today.
