Limited edition shirt *REFUND*

The email was just more salt rubbed into the wounds. I would have understood if it was one size that was oversold in the box edition but it seems that it was over a few sizes. Which leads me to believe that these were being taken by workers at fanatics and heading straight to eBay. So 91 people didn't get their order even though they were confirmed. Instead of offering a pathetic 50% of a shirt they should have been sending everyone that was affected one for free. The 50% off only covers some of the profit that would have been on selling a full price shirt so they were never going to be out of pocket.

100% correct no compensation offered just an invite for you to spend £32.50 with a shit show firm!!

I guess by the time they wade through all the email/letters of complaints, they will probably conclude it is pointless to do a "limited" shirt in the future.

What appalling grammar and utter nonsense, how are these people allowed to communicate with the public is baffling.

That is embarrassing.

I also had this "tried to contact you several times" line. They absolutely did not attempt to contact me, but came out with the same drivel. "We are not at fault if you couldn't answer the phone"? Wow. Condescending in the extreme to send this shite out to customers.

I trust that L**** D******* got a suitably worded reply from you mate?

He certainly did, and what’s more failed to respond - quelle surprise.

The shit has hit the fan since yesterday’s Data Protection Breach, the ICO are aware it has happened. Fanatics are ringing round all those affected offering compensation. Complete bunch of amateurs.

I am one that's affected what are they offering in terms of compensation bud?

So, have we all received this email from Fanatics?

I am contacting you on behalf of Fanatics, the operator of the Manchester City Store.

As you may be aware, on the 03/10/2019 we attempted to communicate with you by email, following your recent attempted purchase of the 125 shirt.

As part of that email correspondence, we mistakenly included the email addresses of a number of other customers. This was an error on our part and we appreciate and understand any inconvenience or concern this may have caused (in addition to the frustration you will have already felt when trying to make your original purchase). The person at Fanatics who is responsible for the error is very sorry and feels mortified by what has happened.

By way of apology, we would like to send you a voucher for £100. The voucher will be redeemable online or at the Stadium store. We will be in contact with you in the coming days to confirm your unique voucher code.

We love to see City fans celebrate their passion for the Club through their club colours and we are genuinely disappointed when we cannot enable them to do so. We therefore hope that this can go some way to make up for your recent experience.

Please once again accept our sincere apologies.

With kind regards

Jack Grimoldby, Head of Football, Fanatics.
