How many kids do you see just out and about in the UK alone with Messi shirts on?
Barcelona tourism, I haven't even touched upon that. Figures suggest 32,000,000 people visit Barcelona each year. Now I wouldn't like to put a percentage on it but even if you put say 25% (8,000,000) of people that visit each year come visit the stadium, go for a tour, buy some merchandise, go to the match. Out of the 25% (8,000,000 people) say another 20% of that 25% (1,600,000 people) buy Messi shirts that's a further £50 x 1,600,000 = £80,000,000.00.
A lot, a lot, a lot of money generated, and that tourism has just been wiped out this last 18 months.

It's all irrelevant, the simple truth is that a vast majority of the image rights, shirt sales, sponsorship, endorsements go direct or indirectly into the little fellas bank account and probably an off shore one at that.

This is the biggest circus in town, and Messi and co are the ring masters and Barca are the clowns and not good ones at that.

Messi is bigger that FC Barcelona and has been for some considerable time, and that's not healthy GOAT or not.

Personally I think Messi has destroyed a lot of the respect people had for him. Part of the reason Barca is in crisis is that one club man Messi holds them hostage for extra €€€ every few years.

I really want to see in the next 10 years how Messi introspecs his last 6-7 playing years.
Because to me its pure cowardice and unwilling to move from a place of security because it would a little inconvenient.

Still was not able to make a move few years. Did not make the move last year and even right now when Barca/Messi have tried every kind of financial maneuvering and fail, they bring up this Telenova kind of a soap opera performance with fake tears.

He should have left Barca when Xavi and Iniesta left. It was them that made Barca tick more than Messi and allowed Messi the space he had.

It's all a bit sad this now if honest. For all Ronaldo's fault, at least he's tested himself in different leagues and known when to move on.

Messi has just wanted the easy life throughout.

So how do you know those figures are accurate what you've just posted if everything else is "bullshit"? besides it's 2 1/2 years out of date.

Yes they are made up because as previously stated it's based on a hypothetical scenario, jesus what's so difficult to understand about that. Nonsense, no. Simple, yes. Send me some up to date accurate annual shirt sales from last year and I'll amend mine for your peace of mind.

An economist has stated Messi sells 2m Barca shirts. It’s clearly a fictional figure to show Messi ‘pays for himself’ seeing as Barca only sell around 2m per annum.

Regardless of 2.5 years ago, do you really think shirt sales have changed much in 2 years?

Ive read the above article & there’s no fact based figures in it at all, it’s all conjecture, 2m this, 30% that without actually proving that’s the case

Do you also believe that the data analytical company who were paid by United to discover they have 650m fans worldwide? Or that City have breached FFP & are getting kicked out of Europe/Prem/football for cheating?

The only way to measure his value is to see how many shirts Barca sell this year vs last year & how much Barca’s revenue drops this year. I’m pretty confident they will sell more that 0 shirts & im also pretty certain their revenue won’t drop 30% which is over £200m. If not, I’m completely wrong & will be happy to admit it fella

I’m sure if we carry on we’ll be going round in circles, so have a top day mate :)
