You’re completely wrong and that’s ok.

I take it that you meant to say that "I'm totally wrong in your opinion" and, if that's the case, I wouldn't want to argue the point because forums are all about opinions and opinions do differ.

If you mean it to say that I'm totally wrong because the stats I presented to support my opinion are wrong? then I'll be grateful if you can please explain why they're wrong?
I think the direct comparison between Barca and City team performances makes a compelling argument that the Messi effect would be damaging to our success (the Messi effect on Barca is that they score less and concede more in a weaker league) but I'd be interested to see your opinion supported by something tangible so that I might learn something and be persuaded to change my view.

If it's just a long held desire to see Messi in a City shirt and you can't see past that then that's totally cool because what is football about if not romance eh?

I would rather have a complete squad than have messi and ruin the development of other players like torres or foden. Unless messi is on a free we should not go for it

FYI, Ronaldo joined juventus at the same age and has had brilliant season individually along with raising a profile of an already super club like juventus many times over.

Also, i have read somewhere he is, willing to take a pay cut for a winning project.

For your decline comment, i won't comment on it, as it does seem u don't follow other leagues (fair enough).

In his 1st trophyless season, @33 years old he has far out performed all our players, a Prime Kevin included ( 20 odd goals to go with 20 odd assist)

Anyway, its all speculation at this stage, let's see how it goes
You miss the point. Age 33 isn’t age 36.

Also, age for age, most people would see Ronaldo (spit) as the fitter specimen by far.

My only concern is how buying Messi might affect our ability to recruit over the next couple of years financially- I know a player of Messi's world wide fame can bring in a hell of a lot of revenue but does that outweigh the financial lay out in terms fo fee and wages?
