Yeah if he does come expect a horde of young fanboys from all over the world to follow him to City. Same thing happened to us with Ronaldo. They can be annoying but the hope is that they'll warm up to the whole team and club with time and we'll have acquired a much wider fanbase.

I don't know about hell, but in the mortal world yeah I believe there are people willing to spend a penny or two for Messi.

Fcuk any issues they have with being the bad guys to Barcelona.
Their loyalties should and will be with City.
If we sign Messi i can see us having to practically give away the players we want out, we'll need their wages off the balance sheets

if it was down to football on the pitch I don't think the deal would get done but City have the City Group worldwide. There's probably huge gains to be had for the entire group that wouldn't be possible for any other club.

Well, i can tell you players had to extend their contracts.

We lost Cavani, Meunier, Kouassi who were all parts of our CL squad because of the end of their contracts with us. As a consequence, Choupo-Moting got a place in the UEFA list and played the final 8.
Thiago Silva did have to extend for 2 months to play with us.
The players contracts don't care about Coronavirus. So, Barça may be right about their understanding of the clause. Only Messi and Barça know how it is written.
