Where are these rumours coming from? I really suspect they are just wishful thoughts of some.

Does Koeman offend Messi to the point of him leaving his home of many years?

Just cant see it.
From the journalist who told the world Neymar was leaving, he was pretty much laughed at for the whole summer then it happened. Could well have legs.

The problem is not Koeman, look at the state of the team they have and the board.

Interesting and I take your point that Barca are not in a good place.

The Pep factor and of course Aguero might attract him.

I get the impression that English football and living in England with our fucking awful climate might not be his thing. I dont think he needs the money, and suspect if he were to leave Barca he may prefer a Spanish speaking enviroment where he wont spend most of his year in the freezing cold, pissing down rain, howling gales, and months on end of it being pretty much dark.

I don't believe we will sign Messi & tbh I don't want us to, but if he does sign, I don't think he'll have any trouble whatsoever, playing in the Prem or 'losing his legs'. He will just need carrying more than most when we lose the ball & the side will need to be sharper all round (another reason to not be relying on Gundogans, Garcias & Rodris).

Prior to the Bayern game, he was receiving the ball surrounded by players, beating them & turning it into chances. Positions where Sterling etc would lose the ball.

Barca are total shit & still came 2nd.

He might only get 30 goals rather than 60 these days, but he'd probably be our top scorer.

GET IT DONE !!!!

Probably the one and only realistic opportunity we will ever get to sign the GOAT before he is way past his best

It would breath new life into the club. Pep and the players would find new enthusiasm and dtermination off the scale. Pep would extend his contract; maybe Sergio too

There would be an interest and focus on
City which will put everything we’ve ever seen before in the shade

It would bring millions of fan boys to our club spending millions on merchandise and internet clicks, which in turn would generate millions in advertising and sponsorship

We would get our financial outlay back in no time and then some

Also as a nice bonus it would seriously enrage all our haters in the media and from other fanbases

GET IT DONE!!!

You'd want the midfield that Liverpool have if you were to sign Messi. Players that will do all of the running for him so that the teams balance isn't impacted. He's the best player in the world still. His passing range and ability is just sublime. He drops deep and plays pinpoint passes into the runs of others. But he shouldn't be judged from one game against Bayern - his lack of running was simply frustration at how poor things are at Barca. Properly motivated he'd still press the ball when required, but to get the best out of him you'd want to have runners covering for him, which we don't have at the moment.

Unlike Ronaldo and Juve, I don't think signing Messi would completely ruin us as a club. I think he'd really lead the young players we have and take them to another level and I think he'd allow the likes of De Bruyne, Sterling, Foden to improve and push on. He wouldn't be getting in the way of anyone either with Silva leaving. But it's whether the club are willing to sign him and bring in the other players needed to make it truly work. You'd have to win the CL to make it a success. Pep can't win it without Messi, so might as well sign him so he can whilst he's with us!

I can't see it happening. Feels like typical posturing to improve the situation at Barca. He knows we want him so it's an easy way to ensure they do what he wants over there.

I didn't realize Messi is 33,going to be 34 next June.

I thought he was KDB age.

Changed my mind.Makes zero financial sense, outlaying the kind of money needed to bring a Guy whose best years are long gone.

Also the Cross dresser Christiano is 35

feeling old.

It would generate far more money in revenue than it would cost us in transfer / wages
