How far's Porto ?

3 hours in an auto. Sintra is a pretty nice place to check out, I'm not a huge fan of Portuguese customs but it was a nice place.

Brilliant, beautiful city I'd love to go to again. Fantastic scenery and great views, it will be awesome for all blues going.

Re: Things to do in Lisbon

- Bairro Alto (Lisbon downtown, you can take a walk during the day and see the old part of the city, by night you have a bunch of bars, but don't be there by yourself just in case, 4/5 guys groups is the best).
- Parque das Nações (Old Expo 98, you can find night life there and is nice for spending an afternoon, you have a nice view over the Tejo river).
- If you like monuments go to Belém, you have Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and I think it worth it, you can also eat some 'pasteis de nata' and spend a couple of nice hours.

Re: Things to do in Lisbon

Be careful of Eastern European door staff on the bars near the harbour/marina area. They're very heavy handed. Me and a work colleague got a right pasting there, dusters, knee stamps, steel toe caps in the ribs etc...about 8 of them on to two of us.

What brought that about ?
