Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

Diaz knew the ball had gone as he hurdled Ortega,he deliberately angled his left foot so it made contact. He's done it umpteen times before.
That’s what strikers do not just cheating divers from Liverpool) the greatest football club in the world) so l am told literally all the time!!!

Even as champions, centurions, fourmidables etc we've never done particularly well at Clanfield, is it like 2 wins in 25 years, so I wasn't too surprised with the result.personally expectation was already quite low.

We have issues, plenty of them, and I have no idea what we can do about them all. We've just gotta trust pep and rhe lads to turn things around. We all knew this time would come eventually, we've surpassed all my expectations so Pep gets an almost free pass from me this season. We have 2 more seasons of the greatest ever coach, and the prospect of plenty of new potentially great signings to come over the next few seasons.
And it's only December, I'm not complete writing this season off yet! Let the pool celebrate their title in December!
It's a testing time for sure, a time we have haven't felt for bloody ages! Yes it hurts but now is the time for us all to man up (I include the players in that) and try and get behind the lads.
Maybe a season of not winning something would be actually beneficial for us all in the long run?? Yes I'm clutching but come on, we're still living the dream aren't we!!??
A balanced and sensible post.

I wouldn’t be upset if Kyle Walker didn’t put on a city shirt ever again and for him to be captain is a fucking joke
as bad as he is playing, thinking walker is the problem is missing the bigger picture.....

no defender can continually defend when the opponents have a free run at them....

We rode our luck a bit in the first 30 mins when it looked like we might be on the end of a real hiding. In the second half we looked better but we still didn't really create much.
A shame two defensive errors yet again cost us, the second goal was particularly gauling.
As a team we are running on empty, a combination of injuries, aging players who have been over worked and poor transfer windows. The midfield is a concern, there is no pace or creativity. We used to have players from all over the pitch chipping in with goals and that now doesn't happen.
We need to weather this crazy storm and try to get the fourth champions league spot, that is important for the club in how it moves forward.

Every single one need to know there’s a chance they could go in the summer! Laughing at the end, what’s fucking funny, getting paid millions is.

At least it wasn't 4 or 5.

Forest and Palace are no gimmes either.

If we don't win any of the next 3 league games the club must be starting to question the managerial position. Surely.???
No they dont.....

Pep has done enough to stay even if we dont win a game again all season....

Pep leaves if he wants to leave - no other reason

The rest is just the talk of rags and the media

Man City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live about the Liverpool fans chanting "You're getting sacked in the morning": "They want to sack me. I wish they were more kind.

"Why didn't they do it at 0-1? Why didn't they do it last season when we won the Premier League? Why do they want to sack me now?

"I didn't expect that from Anfield, for other clubs like Brighton I can understand it.

"But for Anfield I didn't expect this, maybe it is the respect we have. They know we have won six Premier Leagues."

Man City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "The best team won, the first 10-15 minutes was almost unstoppable - it was so difficult."

On the poor performances: "They [players] help me. Three-to-four months ago we won Premier League, FA Cup semi-final and Champions League quarter-final.

"It wasn't a century ago, it was close.

"The situation from the beginning [of this season] was difficult for many reasons.

"I know the players want to do it for the club and me - there's no doubt about that.

"You have to turn it around and win games.

"The target is to try win the next game and go step-by-step."

Have we had any boring fuckers saying they’re digging their old Chelsea shirts out yet? Ffs!
