The thing about being a great team is getting over setbacks.

This is like getting beat of a Southampton or a Brentford, you know when they just turn up for one game and kick you in the Jacobs.

Let's remember that these scouse cunts are on a par with Leicester and Blackburn for Premier league titles, jammy cunts getting away with everyone else being shite.

The press wanted this result, they got it, let them blow smoke up the tramps arsenal.

The goal was so poor from us. The free kick from kdb was dreadful and the Cancelo challenge with nobody covering. The long punt upfield was a threat all game and we didn't handle it well. Gundogan and Rodri pairing again disappoints.

Ha. Grealish had to play. Had to. Hindsight maybe, but hes in our best 11 right now.
I keep reading this but it simply isn’t true. He’s had one great game this season when he ran at defenders and terrorised then. In the next game he reverted to stop, turn and pass back.

If Foden wasn’t prepared to run at Milner it’s probably because he was under orders, the same orders Grealish would have been under.

Besides that, if you play Grealish who are you leaving out, Foden ? If you leave out Gundo or Bernie you completely change the setup.

Kyle Walker is a big miss in these games. Leaving any player one on one with Salah is pretty poor defending. That said, Liverpool are 4th favourites for the Champions League so despite all the wishful thinking they are still a formidable side. Our task (or Peps) is to find ways to win these close games rather than lose them. Beating teams 4, 5, 6 nil etc is brilliant but we need to find a balance and a way of playing that gets us over the line in close games. Last year we played Liverpool 3 times and conceded 7 goals, we played Real Madrid twice and conceded 6 goals. Those sides contested the Champions League Final!

Did they outplay us? Were they better?
It was an end to end game with both teams playing with different tactics to nullify the other. Both teams scored a goal but one got the win.
No one team scored a goal it finished 1 nil like. Its a set back nothing more.

I disagree, foul all day for me. Fabinho had won the ball so of course it’s a free kick.
Sure it would have been disallowed if they scored it against us.
Like the Milners 2nd yellow and penalty that was "missed" last season and not picked up by VAR.

My only complaint today was with how we utilised our players. Foden, Kev, Gundo the obvious issues. The Cancelo mistake could have happened to any of them. Pep has a problem, he can’t seem to manage these types of games. He overcompensates and nullified our fluidity.

No need for a slow midfield when we have been so successful with early balls into Haaland. No need to waste Kev on the right. No need to stop Foden running at Milner. Once rodders passes back with his head down we are in trouble.

Again, the officials had their input and some of the players underperformed. Now this is not a pep out in any shape or form. Long May he continue to manage MCFC. We all have to accept he has his own fragilities when it come to the dippers and anfield. The champions league will be no different this time around.

The other side of this is that we maybe needed a difficult match like this in order to keep us grounded. Liverpool looked a shadow of themselves. We beat ourselves before a ball was kicked. Until pep stops with his inferiority complex we will never win these types of games.

A tactical masterclass in fuckwittery

no forward passes until the opposing team have all 11 players behind the ball
during Transition under no circumstances should any player move any faster than a brisk walk
no need to match either physically or passion or energy the opposing team
if caught on the break best thing to do is too jump in rather than hold up play

obviously Bernardo ignored the above he was a fucking star so expect him to be dropped

utter shite and yes it was a red

A manager that was begging for the five subs rule last season uses one on 87 minutes. What is his fucking problem with making changes, it happens every game unless we're winning comfortably. Pep's game management in these sort of matches is woeful

FFS. He uses five subs when it is approrpiate.

He probablu should have brought Alavarez on earlier and maybe introduced Jack but City were controlling possession and had the best players to do that out there.

We lost ultimately because of errors on their goal: no one blocking Allison and/then Cancelo fucking up.

Pep's game plan was fine but the execution was a bit off - absolutely no one knows if a different plan would have worked today and what is for sure is Pep ain't going to have his team sit back.

We had more than double the usual number of shots at goal than Liverpool usually concede and nearly as many as our usual average. We were not clinical enough though today.
