Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread.

Alongside Yaya and Kompany he's been absolutely pivotal in everything we've achieved, but time has caught up to them all.
He still gets goals, it's churlish to say he's just done. I admit he's not on his old level but he's still a very good option

No-one can moan too much given the season we've had but that was annoying

Gifted them 3 goals.

Sadly Sterling was predictably pocketed again at Anfield.

Aguero hurts us in these types of games. Too slow to react when given the ball, losing the ball far too often when our midfielders are looking to run on, leaving Dinho and the backline with their pants down. There's no way he would have started if G.Jesus was fit as he's more alive and more likely to keep the ball moving quickly.

Stones maybe come back too early? 3 errors in 3 games now after being immaculate all season

Showed some decent spirit towards the end tho. All ab out how we react in the next games.

Bad day at the office. On the Stones push for the second Liverpool goal, I’ve seen them given and not given, the interesting thing is that Stones didn’t appeal or have words with the ref so did he think he’d been fouled.

We move on. No mid week game comes at a good time and we need to take the game to Newcastle next week and start another long streak without a loss.

Only read the first 5 pages but some of our so called fans are fucking idiots.

We had a bad day today no doubt about it but the players gave everything and we were only beaten by a mixture of defensive mistakes and a couple of cracking finishes.

Everyone is allowed a bad day, especially this team. We should be immensely proud of our lads and let’s hope we react quickly and positively.
It's how you recover from a bad game that counts. Newcastle will be interesting.

Gutted for Delph, he wasn't my favourite signing but he's been mostly very good this season.

The issue was we couldn’t play pass their intital press. They wasn’t particularly good at it, there was gaps everywhere but there was no out pass from either the wide players or gundogan in midfield.

Showed the importance of David Silva who is nearly always the man to break the press with his movement to free himself or turn a defender, gundogan simply couldn’t do that and after we passed along the back and through Fernandinho we couldn’t go anywhere else which resulted in us losing the ball so many times.

Definite push on stones for their goal, I was stood right behind it on the second row and the ref had a great view too. probably would have been given had he gone down that ultimately gave them the confidence and led to us collapsing. We can’t expect anything different from refs now though given their incompetence.

We’ve shown signs of having a game like that in recent weeks, we’ve been grinding results rather than winning games comfortably. Reinforcements are definitely needed, we had no alternative to sane, Sterling or aguero today who were all fairly anonymous.

Vital we move on and put on a show next week now to prove this was nothing but a blip. Let’s hope we got all of our mistakes out of us in one game.

Great post
