Stones and Laporte were immense.

100% this. Both were unbelievable.

It was this game last year where Stones head went. Great to see him step up, he'll blossom on the back of that performance.

You're joking aren't you ? I bet you anything that either Jesus, Ferna, Silva, or Sane, would have at least hit the friggin' target, and probably scored. Mahrez should't have even been on the pitch so late on. Ederson would have done a better job FFS.

Oh well, as many said, I'd have taken a draw before kick-off and through the game because it was so shit. But that miss made it almost feel like a stomach churning loss. We should have won that, for the first time at Anfield since what feels like forever.

Mahrez did not have a good game - penalty aside, he's the most predictable player in the premier league right now - but as we've seen with others it takes time to bed in to Peps system.

Agreed, they should be starting two in the big games because they are comfortable on the ball to beat any high pressing teams. It means there’s less responsibility on Fernandinho with build up play

We were spot on tactically, but awful individually. We controlled most of the game, tempo, direction of the play and areas of the pitch, but individual end product was non-existent. Still two big points dropped.

I would have taken the point beforehand but I cannot believe Mahrez took the penalty. What was going through his mind I do not know, he knows his record.If you take it off someone you HAVE to score. At the same time someone could have told him no. Just left with the feeling off what might have been :(

Happy with this point and Stones and Laporte were amazing, feels great for the future.

Little bit bitter with Mahrez approach and penalty, it has to be clear who the second penalty taker should be.

Anyways, this was a huge step forward compared to previous Anfield meetings.

Terrible penalty, but he didn't even want to take it, message came from the bench that Mahrez should take it, he even pointed to Gabby as to say he's taking but was told no you are...

De bruyne out, Aguero carrying an injury, Mendy just back from injury, all things considered a point is great but it should have really been more.

Would have preferred David to taken it given his status and thought he was Motm.
