Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

Hi guys ...wolves fan here!....( great win the other night BTW)...
I was just wondering whether Liverpool can't afford new shirts anymore
because at 83 minutes and 52 seconds of the game ( I imagine most of you
recorded it! ) Trent Alexander Arnold had a shirt on with the remembrance
Poppy removed !!!......or am I going bonkers !!!......Premier league champions
And they're wearing last November's shirts !!.....made me chuckle anyway .

We did this back in the 0-0 in the 2018-19 season. Stifle them, don’t vacate space, don’t let them get up a head of steam where Mane and Salah can come off the flanks and attack our full backs. It wasn’t pretty and would have worked if Mahrez would have stuck the penalty away. We seemed to abandon that approach last season and got mauled for it.
Plus we had half a team missing.

We ripped them apart when Jesus came on. Surely that front 3 of Foden Sterling Jesus stays for now.

we were basically playing with ten men with FFS on the pitch , Jesus came on and put pressure on the Dippers back four and we battered them , his pass to Foden for the 4th goal was superb , were as Mahrez did nothing contructive all the game.

Bollox.....you've come on here trying to justify a blatant dive by saying any contact means a penalty....Salah gave the ref a decision to make not Dias.....if he'd stayed on his feet no penalty! By your reasoning on every corner there should be a penalty as it's like all in wrestling.....you need to be given the weekend off along with Dean and Mason and go to specsavers!
Everything is about context and this will more often than not determine a refs decision.
The critical aspect is that Dias makes a mistake it appears he tries to flick the ball away from Salah instead of clearing his lines. Salah intercepts and is in on goal. The ref see this and Dias reaching out appearing to pull Salah back.Salah throws himself forward as usual and hits the turf. The ref makes a decision and in the context of the above not an unreasonable one.

It is the job of VAR to dig deeper into this if it is believed that the ref made his mind up incorrectly. The argument weak in my opinion that Dias was fouled is outside of the context of the main event which in the refs mind read defender fucks up and attempts to interfere with forwards run on goal.

The lesson to be learnt from all this is simply one for Dias when in a spot of bother clear your lines. Salah proved yet again as we have known for a long time that he is a diving, cheating prick.

It's not diving just for pens either, remember the Vinny thunder bolt against Leicester season when Liverpool were playing Newcastle and Salah dived for a free kick late on well outside the box when the game had draw written all over it and the cnuts went on to score from it.

Thankfully at the end of the day they never benefitted from it as we went onto win the league by a point.
But that small cheating margin could have cost us

I think he did the same the season b4 against Newcastle to cheat another pen.
Think it was Fabinho.

Salah gets beyond Dias and holds out an arm to fend him off. The arm that is fending Dias off (he grabs Dias' shirt briefly, too) is the very arm that Dias then grabs hold of. How on earth can that be "outside the context of the main event"? It happens within the self-same passage of play.

Only Salad gets that penalty , he is a drama queen the slightest touch and he believes he has the right to do an impression of a sniper victim , it wasnt even a tug on his arm Dias held it for a split second like millions of tussles in penalty areas over a season
Salah is a cheat there is not other word , any touch in the penalty box and he screams like baby and then gets 10 out 10 for theatrical impression , i would be embarrassed if he was in a blue shirt.
But we know Dippers do not have morals or standards , their shady history is confirmation on and off the playing field.
