Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

Ploddy is a good way of describing Laporte.

What we lose through not having Laporte utilising his crossfield pass, we gain more solidity of Dias is playing on the left.

Especially so, as Stones brings us more options into midfield.

I'd say Laporte remains a very good defender but he seems to struggle mentally in the biggest of games?

Having watched that Salah goal back again, I'm disappointed with Eddie, he should be getting a hand to it at least.
You do post some strange stuff

Ooh zoom in on this one, it could be a classic.
Lol, theres a couple of women far lower right who are having a job to contain their joy, must be undercover blues.

Also, I found wally, just left of bottom centre, but sadly his hat and scarf have been nicked..........unsurprisingly.

watching that hateful **** Beglin and the other prick commentating, gave Salad mom apart from the wonder goal he didnt do a lot. Bernardo mom by some distance.
The satisfying thing is they know and we no they know that they were lucky today
Scouse Bastards
Exactly, they would’ve been very happy to take a point at half time. Yes I was happy with a draw after that magical Salad goal but they know that they got away with it yesterday.

So, what's the history altering narrative I've had from 4 sources today, saying Bernie should also have seen red in the second half - I can't think of an instance or challenge? What for?!
Bernie made an innocuous challenge late on, it was debatable it was even a foul let alone a yellow card, in fact Bernie was about to remonstrate and then looked at Tierney and thought he’d better not give him an excuse.
What was funny though, was right at that moment, I absolutely knew, the dippers would use that to try and even it up, so so fuckin predictable!

just my two cents but instead of Grealish we should have signed a wideforward/winger with strong killer instinct front of goal.

the Mane/Salah type.

the chances they scored yesterday is simply not scored by our forward players in same amount of times lets say out of 10.

and I am only talking about the moment they made the shot, not the whole action and build up. just when you stop the moment at the time of making the shot and change Mane/Salah with Jesus/Grealish/Mahrez/Sterling etc. and its more than likely not a goal as our forward players are just not that clinical.

and imo thats the only thing holding us back. thats why we lost to PSG, or we were not 1-0 up at least vs Pool in a very dominant first half performance, and thats why we lost to Spurs too where we had more than enough chances to win.

dont forget once we are ahead early on in a big game, opponent cannot play the game they planned. they have to come out, open up but only if we break their defence first. but for that much more clinical finishing is needed.

until that time it will be opponents needing 3-4 shots for 2 goals, while we keep making 15 shots per game for 2 goals.

having said that i am very delighted with 4 points from chelsea, pool away games and our play was generally very good too.
