Originally watched the game with Sky commentary and just watched it again with NBC's The difference in partisanship is astoundingly obvious with Tyler creaming himself whenever Liverpool did something good to it being almost funereal for us was palpable. The trio of Arlo White, Lee Dixon & Graeme Le Saux was noticably more professional in their calling and pointing out the good and bad from both sides equally. If this happened to LIverpool you just know that there'd already be a 5,000 strong petition to get Tyler to retire.

Sky need to bin him off.

Whilst I see where you’re coming from I don’t agree with your last sentence about the minority and mainly only on BM as all the fans I speak to do not like Milner, divided opinions on Toure but I think he’s a bit like Piers Morgan, either like or dislike very few in between, but if that makes me appear petty minded so be it. Which Txiki may have fully known, and was fully supportive with Milner and was perfectly okay with. There’s never been any reports from anyone that City weren’t happy with Milner.

A few years before, we sold de Jong for £4m to Milan after he was Holland’s best player in the Euros. I don’t think we’re as arsed about transfer fees as fans might think.

And we as fans applauded him in the first few years after he left us, so we weren’t that arsed about it at first neither.

Great player and I really enjoy his never die attitude, but he's shown his arse with his cult fandome bullshit, which for an adult footballer is pretty pathetic tbh!!

Think we played some great stuff again today. And we deserved the win but didn’t get what we deserved. And tbf we deserved to win all three away games this week as we were the better side in all three. And that’s something to be fck proud of.

Not gonna discuss the ref, VAR not that audience. Over the last 10 years we’ve shown we will win silverware anyhow.

I don’t get this. Milner just played a game of football out of position against the best young player in the country and got torn a new arsehole. He wasn’t dirty, or out of order with anything, it’s not his fault he didn’t get called for a foul in the first half or a second yellow in the second half.

I’ve never got the Milner hate from our fans at all. And the “one greedy bastard” chant is about the most inaccurate call we make as a set of fans. It’s almost laughable.

He was a great servant for City who got sick of being on the bench in big games so he left us. Okay, he let his contract to go to the end, but in other sports that happens all the time and is seen as honouring the contract.

Okay, he mentioned that Liverpool had the best team spirit he’s ever been involved in, but he might genuinely have felt that and was just telling the truth. No dramas from me whatsoever.

Okay, he celebrated against us when he didn’t celebrate for us against Villa. Again no dramas for me at all, always want players to celebrate their goals (same shit we gave Dickov when he slid on his knees in joyous celebration when he scored for Leicester against us, it’s mard arse shit from our fans, not shit from Dickov and Milner).

We solely have an issue with him because of the shit Liverpool fans give Sterling. We moan that Liverpool fans give Sterling grief and call them small time and that they’re out of order for their comments, then stoop to their level with Milner.

Really bizarre from our fans this and I’ll never get it. Proper Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa level stuff from us. Shows that we’re just the same as all other sets of fans.

I don't know what to make of it tbh, the thought of spending any of my valuable time on earth getting pissed off or even giving him a second thought in a negative way just doesn't compute.
Sure, he left us in shitty terms as a fan perspective but as a professional footballer with no real affiliation with any club since he was 16 or whatever he's got to be the most beige player in existence!!
I quite admire him in a way. Wouldn't live my life his way but fair fucks to his career.
