You can feel the build up to the cup final from the Scouse love in. Owen thinks it's an easy 6 points for their next games very confident lol if we are on it and cut out these stupid mistakes that gift them goals, we will win and smash the anfield hoodoo.

Their recent form going into this game is now WWWLDL

However 2 of those wins were very sketchy - the 2-1 against Spurs (stonewall pen not given) and the 3-2 against PSG (tried their best to through away 2-0 lead).

They've only had 1 good game in the last 6, a 3-0 win against Southampton.

Hopefully Klopp playing mostly the same 11 is starting to take its toll.

Same back 4 and front 3 almost every game, I think?

Wijnaldum and Milner have played quite a bit so far as well.

Well Ickle Mickey on Bt sport reckons they have no worries at all playing us on Sunday, very dismissive and Pointy man stating dippers are top of Premier
League, time we really smashed the c***s.
Was delivering around North Wales Coast today and got bored listening to talksport so picked up Today FM from Dublin and there was a in-depth report
from rags bore game then Dippers and Spurs were mentioned for tonight followed by cabbage incident at Villa and that folks was it.Was sure we played
last night.

Did not watch the game tonight, but by all accounts the Dippers were crap and looked very leggy ?

We all know they will raise their game on Sunday, but we need to cut out the stupid mistakes and sloppy passing and then we can give the Dippers a match.

They were distinctly average for huge chunks of last season but tore us apart in two separate half hours at their place.

They essentially play with 3 hard running but creation free midfielders. Trying to combat that is a waste of time as we don't have the players.

Midfield 3 Foden, Silva and Silva.

Watching Napoli tonight they defended deeper than we do, Would like to see that but doubt Pep will change.

City need to be in top gear right from the start, Sane and Raz need to be flying down the wings, if we can get an early goal it will shut the clan up and they will lose momentum, this game hinges on the psychological as much as the physical, we simply have to destroy this anfield demon. Just go all out attack from the first second. They certainly wont park the bus and we need to exploit their still crap defence.
Somebody said defend for first half, I dont agree with that. We have to be flying.

What we need is Txiki nowhere near the game so his defeatist face isn’t seen by them to give them confidence, to stop letting them shoot towards the Kop in the first half, to hope Firmino and Milner are booked early doors for their constant fouling and for us to defend properly for once there...

They aren’t that good, they just always seem to raise their game like its their cup final, apart from when it was a cup final and we won!

The fulls backs were terrible defensively for them tonight - constantly caught out of position. If they repeat that on Sunday Sane and Raz/Mahrez will murder them and we will win. Here's hoping.

Play Sterling. Uncharacteristic individual errors and pathetic refs have cost us against Liverpool. Their attacking style should suit us - we need to be solid at the back and hit 'em with our pace.......... and hit the target.

Keita wasn't likely to play. They'll go:

Allison; TAA-Gomez-VVD-Robertson; Wijnaldum-Milner-Henderson; Salah-Firmino-Mané.
It's strange because I'm looking at their 11, I think I would only take Salah and maybe maybe VVD. All other players are not as good as our players. So why are we so afraid of them? We're a better team, let's win!

what makes you say a £52m signing was unlikely to play ?

Henderson is the captain, Milner is their best midfielder and Wijnaldum has started every league game this season.

Keita played while Henderson was on post world-cup rest, but Henderson has played more in the last couple of weeks.

Long term (assuming this injury wasn't bad) I'm sure Keita will work himself into the starting XI soon enough.
