Thanks

I doubt Keita would have started for them (against us) as he's not in their first team.

It's such a shame (for them) that Salah has been a depressed form - he was their driving machine to trophies. They don't have the same talent of depth as us. An in-form Sturridge is half the player of an in-form Salah.
I don’t think Keita would start Sunday either but the injury meant Henderson coming on early first half and had to run his tripe out which wouldn’t have been in the script ahead of Sunday.

The biggest issue for liverpool is that klipperty is once again flogging their first eleven. Last night owen and mcpointy were trying to gloss somewhat over that turd of a performance - moreso mcpointy than owen. Mcpointy was trying to state they weren’t playing to win, utter bullshat because klopp played their furst team and once again when it didnt start to go liverpools way what happened...it all fell apart

Owen however picked up on this point and actually stated it, klopp and liverpool only play one way. When it doesnt work it has a negative impact on the team and klopp cannot change it tactically.

Liverpool last night were lucky it only finished 1-0 because napoli should have had at least 3 was it not for some poor finishing and a cross bar getting in the way. The one thing that stood out for me was that it looks like they are starting to slow down already. I dont think that it will make much difference to how they come at us on sunday but they (as we all know) will go for it so we have to be savvy and soak it up and let them blow their energy levels. And then just start picking them off.

Another thing i hope Pep noticed and we replicate is that Napoli were not pinging it around midfield allowing liverpool to press. It was all one touch football that kept the liverpool players chasing and it basically allowed napoli to keep by-passing any press threat and get at their back line. This consistent one touch approach left liverpool exposed all game as it didnt allow taa or the wild eyed robertson to get back into position.

It was a classic ancelotti masterclass to show liverpool are an average team when their gung-ho approach fails

I’ve changed my mind. I’m feeling good about the match this weekend.

I’m going to buy a beer and watch it. Even if it does mean waiting until midnight.

I would feel better if I knew they would provide a twin match next Sunday for that performance last night. Reading the BBC report just now it shows they got a good battering, particularly in the second half but the tone of the report delivers such a valiant reverse. They never had one fucking shot on goal! But they were all heroes, and every pairing, Gomez and Dick van Dijk, Mane and Salad, were Spartans at Thermopylae. And Henderson? Full of guile but little creativity which I take to mean shit but little shite.

Don’t think this is going to be a very popular opinion, but there’s an argument that Pep can only play one way. Unfortunately, that style of play leaves us suspectible when playing Liverpool.

10/10 for googling how to spell Thermopoly

Beauty of it is if we can avoid defeat by the time they play Huddersfield it will be 1 day short of a full month without a win.

Same as what Sari did when Chelsea played them. One touch beats the press if you have good passers and we do. Except for a wonder goal, Chelsea would have won.

If you look back at the last few years more so last year's games we gifted them every goal.

Cut this by 60% then they don't beat us.

Stupid early goals caused us massive problems.

Keep it tight give fuck all away even if it's 0-0 for 60-75 mins.

I know I sound negative but a draw will feel like a win for me.

Has to be Stones with Dino & Laporte no way he plays LB he is the best Left CB in Europe IMO.

Tight & nic it.

.Ederson.
.Vinny. .Laporte.
Walker. .Stones. .Dino. Zinchenko.
.Sterling. .Bernardo. .Sane.
.Aguero.

The sky bandwagon is well and truely underway. It’s going to be 4 days of nauseating bullshit around Liverpool’s year. If, maybe, but, perhaps....... I sound like fucking Keegan I know, but Christ id love it so much if we win there on Sunday.

Time to go in all guns ablazing:

Ed
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Zinchenko
Fern
Merlin
Bernardo
Sane
Kun
Raz

They have had a very tough run of games. They are ripe for the picking. Let's go over there and take it from them.

Watching last night re-affirmed my belief that our best football players must play. Bernardo, zinchenko, laporte all must start and Gundogan with his slow play this one. If Kev is fit i’d even start him at DM. The quicker we move the ball, the more in trouble they are.

Sarri’s Chelsea play very similar to us but through better defending they survived. If you look back to our away game in the PL their goals from Chamberlain, Firmino, Salah and Mane should all have been prevented. I would say that the early goal wasn’t the problem last year. We recovered well and equalised and I thought we were going to thrash them.
The CL was similar with extra refereeing assistance but we never recovered our composure.

However, without KDB I just can’t see us getting a result against them. I think the result depends on which Salah we will be facing.
