Their penalty is correct all day long - but I’d love one day for a ref to have the balls to give the pen AND book Salah for his dive.

The Stones one looked clearly off to me, no complaints there.

I also wouldn’t have had a complaint if Cancelo’s goal against West Brom had been disallowed until I saw the lines.

There was enough of a gap between the furthest back defender and Stones to make you think the same thing might have happened.

I know it's difficult at times with these refs, but sometimes it comes down to not providing them with the opportunity to award these pens in the first place.

As for the game. Reffed fine. There's almost an air of disappointment it wasn't on, it seems.

Fair enough, I thought he had the best game I've seen for some time, there's no way a red shirt team get a really early red (remember Dowd & some rag player who should have walked in a League Cup final very early on?). As for the penalty they got, it was soft but a pen these days but the dive wasn't needed.
