I think Pep rested Bernado to play him in centre mid with De Bruyne. We need his energy and drive in the middle because that is where we will terrorise them, aided by Phil on the right and Jack on the left feeding the big fella up front. I don't think Gundo will start but i can see him replacing Kev in second half.

I'm quietly confident and going for a fairly comfortable 1-3 win.

Be interesting to see how Liverpool set up with the loss of Mane and Diaz being out. Mane always chased us so many problems and Diaz being out gives them no natural wide left option. Firmino generally causes us issues, so important we keep him quiet.

I think it’s essential we have Bernardo central and Foden and grealish starting. Thank god no more waiting for sterling to deliver against Liverpool either and we can go out and play with no real baggage on our shoulders.

I think we'll see Foden on the right and Grealish on the left but I'd be tempted to go with Foden on the left and KDB on the right. I think the dipper's main defensive weakness is behind the full backs and inverted wingers are more likely to come inside rather than to get behind the FB.

It would also allow us to have our best 3 for controlling the game in midfield. Gundogan, Bernardo and Rodri.

My guess is we'll play with Akanji and Cancelo at FB and with Dias and Ake at CB. Grealish is likely to start. But Bernie at RW and Foden at LW with Gundo next to Rodri is an option too. I think Bernie is more press-resistant than Gundo and more mobile as well, so he's likely to start with Rodri at CM.

Football is unpredictable, as we saw last night. Liverpool are better than Newcastle and Villa and will play for their pride, they can get a result (if we don't create enough or are wasteful). But we are favourites for a reason. 3:2 City.

My "defensive" worry: Dias and Ake are not our best options to play from the back. We saw it vs Southampton, and Pep mentioned in the post-match interview that we were a bit slow in the build-up play and had problems at times to play through Southampton's press. Liverpool will press Dias and especially Ake. Normally, Laporte is a better option vs high-pressing teams, but he is not in form yet. Pep might consider the option of Akanji and Laporte at CB (plus Cancelo and Ake at FB). But, imo, it's less likely than the combo of Dias and Ake.

No chance it will be ake left back cancello right back as they have no dias now.akanji and dias centre backs.also i reckon we will see bernardo, rodri, gundog mid three with foden left haaland up top with kdb right.

Nope I think Cancelo left back, Salad likes cutting in from the right, Cancelo bring right footed will be a good match up
