Liverpool at Home... FROM £57

Do not understand why safe standing still hasn't been introduced.

More allocated spaces so seats will be cheaper but you would still get the same revenue in possibly even more with more supporters there to buy programmes, merchandise, food etc.

Got a couple of friends coming over from Singapore, English lad and his missus, will I be able to buy tickets through my seasoncard for them for this game?

If so, when is it likely?

Wind up surely!

Not a wind-up at all pal but thanks for your constructive reply.

For some home games season ticket holders can purchase up to 6 extra tickets, so I was merely asking the question if I will be able to get an extra couple.

Wow, those prices are extortionate.

Luckily I'm on a season ticket but it's those that can't commit to all the games that are going to miss out, regular match-goers who bring atmosphere, character and knowledge to the stands. Just look at the World Cup just gone. The game is nil-nil in a must-win game with ten minutes to go, and people (these are not fans) are more interested in what snack they can shove down their gob, or waiting for the camera so we can see their stupid wig, face paint or cleavage. Okay, cleavage is okay, but the game is the be-all and end-all for me - none of that tourist stuff, please.

I think that this is a ploy by the club to increase demand for season tickets and justify expanding the North Stand. Not sure pricing out the youngsters is a good tactic, though.

After going Gold rather than Platinum and joining the domestic Cup Schemes last week I added the CL scheme after much soul searching from this pricing policy its being deleted tomorrow.

I'll be getting charged 60 notes plus ..We're not doing the fans any favours.

Kal needs to remember his message to the fans.

Is this not because of the reduction in available seats due to the building works i.e. All the normal cheap seats are taken so just the more expensive ones available?

So 57 quid for the ticket plus £50 for fuel, £15 quid for a couple of pints and a pie. sorry can't justify that anymore had to give my SC up for work reasons, only missed 4 last season not anymore priced me out, been watching for 37 years this breaks my heart!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW I think this price is awful and I feel sorry for those who are priced out or can’t afford/justify one of the cheaper season tickets. My adult gold ST is £530 for a L3 corner and to be fair to City I think is great value. But from £57 for a one off game seems to be taking the piss.

But are City really taking the piss or just doing what all the other big clubs do? I didn’t know the answer to that so checked some other clubs for Adult prices only

LIVERPOOL – Adult prices only
(Cat A Games - Rags, City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arse, Everton, Newcastle)

6 price tiers ranging from £46 to £59
---------------------------------------------------
RAGS
(Seems to be same price for all games)

Members (£32 per year) - 19 price tiers ranging from £41-£53
Non members – 19 price tiers ranging from £46-£58
---------------------------------------------------------

SPURS
(Cat A Games - Rags, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arse, West ham)

10 price tiers ranging from £48-£81
---------------------------------------------

CHELSEA
(Cat A Games - Rags, City, Liverpool, Spurs, Arse)

Members (£25 per year) - 6 price tiers ranging from £56-£64
Non members – 6 price tiers ranging from £61-£69
-------------------------------------------------------------------
ARSENAL
(Cat A Games - Rags, City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and maybe others)

Members (£39 per year) - 16 price tiers ranging from £64-£127
Non members – 13 price tiers ranging from £65.50-£129.50

Conclusion?

So no doubt we are right up there. Apart from Arsenal, you can get in anywhere else for less than £57.

Are these obscene prices impacting attendances? No, according to Sporting Intelligence the average attendance in the top division for 2013/2014 was the highest for 64 years and the seat occupancy rate for 2013/2014 was the highest in Premier League history.

Welcome to modern football. Many local working class fans are now priced out of watching City. I used to stand on the Kippax for £1.80 in the mid 80s. Just the early round cups for me this season.

Maybe missing something here but it says from £57 last season they always used to quote the north stand price which was £10 cheaper surely they won't want £67 will they ?

there will come a point when supporters will say enough is enough, that is a fair distance off, but for everyone 1 fan that doesnt go because of price, theres always someone else waiting to take his place, so sadly its gona stay high

Fans will save their cash for the big games so stand by for lots of empty seats at the smaller games, just priced 2 of mine out, one getting married and one buying her own house, sat in the North Stand v Crewe on a wet Tuesday night and now priced out, amazing we can get to Wembley and back for not much more than one home game.

Thank fuck for mine and my boys season tickets.
City . I hate criticising but these prices are simply outrageous. I am thinking of blowing the cl cup scheme off i really am and just stick to the fa and league cup.In fact i am 95% certain of doing this. 90 mins of football how much???

Just about at that point for me now. Costs me upwards of €300 to travel over to see a game once you take in air fare and accommodation as well as the actual match ticket, and I simply can't justify that any longer. This will probably be my last season attending games in person. Sad, but there you go. As has been said, there'll be someone ready to take my place.

The prices are getting more and more ridiculous.
Price of travel, food and the likes also factored in, its ridiculous for most fans involved.
I'll await to see the day Khaldoon sticks to his words, though I won't hold my breath.

Exciting times for the club as a whole and on the pitch, but not for a lot of us supporters who will be watching from a TV set instead of their favourite part inside the stadium.
