Alright then Gazmedina, without resorting to insults I'll give you my opinion. The incidents of Heysel and Hillsborough bear comparison because they were a mere 4 years apart. Thea sizeable number of Liverpools travelling fans thought it clever that they could goa nywhere in Europe and behave in any way they chose. In facts fans of most clubs did, including our own behaved terribly, don't try and paint it any other way because i saw it happen time after time in the 80,'s. LFC fans did it Europe and revelled in thieving and violence. Its well documented. Now to your question. Yes i have sympathy for the 96 who died, they were undoubtedly the innocents who got there early. They should have all gone home. As people have testified on this forum Hillsborough was NOT a safe stadium prior to this game, that much was obvious. That's where SWFC were to blame. And the FA. The year before the police had put in place an outer cordon which stopped ticketless fans from getting near the stadium. This worked but in 1989 the inexperienced match commander abandoned this measure as a cost cutting measure and this is just one of the reasons where the police were culpable. The media reporting in particular was an offensive disgusting joke ( similar to Whitworth Park's take on the 'blade carrying' juventus fans above, which ostensibly doesn't as yet attract a moderators 'opinion')
There will be ageing Liverpool fans are charges into that end who knew they didn't care about the consequences of their actions on those in front who have utterly absolved of their actions that day and its taboo to suggest otherwise. Finally, your introduction of Cregans victims was clumsy in the first instance one of those girls wasn't even born at the time, so im not even going to indulge you any further on that one. That's about the top and bottom of it from my point of view.
