Liverpool bus damaged on journey back from Etihad Stadium today

More lies from the Liverpool FC mouthpiece, the Daily Mirror.

Is there any evidence of this so called damage?

No.

They never needed any though is the sad reality and thanks to our own club and it’s hasty statement, it happened and we are guilty.

Let’s face it here, any damage would have been all over the media and the fact it isn’t tells you all you need to know about this non story we helped create!

Just another example of the PC and Woke culture we live in, perpetuated by the do-gooders taking over society, forcing their views, opinions, rules and regulations on to others.

For me that's clear proof that the coach is throwing bottles at bin dippers. We should apologise

I’m afraid the club has been complicit in allowing this narrative to take hold, starting after last season’s FA Cup semi-final.

And as for any **** writing for the Mirror having the audacity to deploy the word vile…

The narrative took hold more than a decade ago. Plenty of clubs have been condemned and have self-condemned the chant, including Leeds and Forrest this year.

from 2012.
'United released a statement after the match in response to the incidents.'
'The chant, which includes the words "It's never your fault, it's never your fault, always the victims, it's never your fault," was heard from a section of fans in the Stretford End early in the match.'

The more clubs issue statements on the chant will either further reinforce the claim the chant is 'associated with' Hillsborough, or it will start to erode at that claim. It will likely be a recurring topic either way. Which is good for us in the sense it widens attention and criticism aimed at the club.

The club statement didn't really apologise nor take responsibility for that incident though.

'We understand an object was thrown towards the coach in a residential area.

Incidents of this kind are totally unacceptable, and we strongly condemn the actions of the individual(s) responsible.'

Hasty it might have been, but what's not to agree with in that, in a general sense?

I personally think the more lfc and their press/media moan about the victim song the more it will be sang.

It just shows the huge dislike of lfc and the dippers from fans of other clubs.

I dont know of any fans from other clubs that like the dippers. Dippers are not liked in the uk or Europe !

Perhaps all clubs need to develop a very Heysel-specific chant, so there can be no doubt whatsoever around its origins...
Trying to weaponize Heysel as a stick to beat the dippers with is not acceptable in my view. 39 Italian fans died and they deserve more respect than to be used to score points against Liverpool fans.
I have no issue with "Always the victims" as I genuinely don't think it references Heysel or Hillsborough but lets not sink to using disasters as a way to taunt Liverpool fans.

Ok, I’ll rephrase: the narrative has been allowed to recrudesce by the club.

Also a lot of the Liverpool fans it's being chanted at weren't even alive when it happened

Club statement on offensive chanting

Chelsea FC condemns the inappropriate chants heard from some home fans during this evening’s game. Hateful chanting has no place in football and we apologise to anyone who has been offended by them.
Do Liverpool ever play a game of football without getting an apology for something or anything after the game?

And the scousers will be cock-a-hoop. We can no longer take the moral high ground about them wrecking our coach at Anfield. Mission accomplished.

If City supporter had crashed a car into the Coach away from the footprint of the club, would the club be making a statement?

It was completely unnecessary in my view.

Yes, IF there were songs chanted about previous sickening events, by all means raise the point.
