Liverpool could be thrown out of Carabao Cup

I am a yank and have been supporting City since 1978 when I traveled all over England to support a dreadful football team who's fans appropriately engaged in a large bit of self-ridicule. My father, who fostered my love of the game, became a City fan during the war, when stationed somewhere outside of Manchester instructing the RAF how to shoot straight. I am not ashamed of where I come from, nor do I care for your assumption that I am. I am a proud Philadelphian who flies a City banner from my house every day in an Irish neighborhood full of scum and dipper supporters. Please lose the attitude of righteous entitlement that you display regarding OUR team, it makes you sound like a dipper from 30 years ago or a scum supporter from 20 years ago. Having read your posts for the past several years, I'm reasonably confident that you are better than that.
Glad to see that your father was converted to the blue side of the area when he was here, and brought you up as a blue. We are a very broad church, yet we still need more missionaries to spread the word.
However, I must take exception to your comment re teaching our airmen to shoot straight. When the war started, in 1939, your country was neutral, and only joined in after Pearl Harbour in December 1941. By then, our pilots had had 2 years practice in shooting the opposition down - didn't Hitler call it "Operation Sea Lion"?
Having said that, I appreciate that it was meant light-heartedly, and I'm currently awaiting the Hollywood remake of The Dam Busters, with Tom Cruise as Guy Gibson, and 617 Squadron being B25s.

;-)

I wonder where they will get the Lancasters from to make the film as there is only one flying in Britain that belongs to the RAF, another in Canada and one that will fly in 5/6 years time residing at East Kirkby.
