At the end of the day, if we had been hammeree by 5 or 6, which it looked like at half time, i wouldbe really worried. As it was, we gave them a right scare with a makeshift team and come from it a lot more positive. Time for Sterling and Jesus to move on, they have been great but it's not happening anymore.

What’s going on? The levels of distress and pessimism over 1 game is crazy.
We have a great chance to lift the premier league again and maybe with a bit of luck the champions league.We lost 1 battle today but we have the personality and self belief to win the war.
It’s not over until it’s over. If we manage to fall short it won’t be a disaster. This team is fantastic and personally I think we have overachieved this season. We don’t have anyone who can put the ball into the net 30+ times a season. Not an excuse but a fact. Most top teams have 3/4 forwards we have zero.
A few players are not hitting previous heights and need sold to allow reinforcements.
The club tried to buy Kane but could not and decided to wait and now move for Erling. Jack was purchased when we found out Messi was not an option and Bernie might be leaving.
Sad day today and no one likes losing but we fucked up with how we started and followed up with a goalkeeping howler.
Pick yourselves up and get ready to go again against Brighton. Stay off social media as it is a distorted view of reality.

It's an older trophy, that's all it has over the CL. If you were to canvass opinion of 100 random footballers on planet earth every single one of them would choose a CL winners medal over an FA cup winners medal. The FA cup is a nice trophy to win but we've won it already, the CL is the pinnacle and we're yet to do it. I will literally celebrate long into the night should we win it this season.FA Cup does matter absolutely. It has far more history than the Champions League
Sometimes things have to be sacrificed and today was sadly one of those days.

There isn’t another club that’s taken the fa cup more serious than us since the takeover, how many wins finals semi finals ? today was about player welfare & squad management, Pep will be well aware how close some players are to the edge, both physically & mentally, the side was picked accordingly

Some thoughts now I've calmed down:
Considering the team we put out, 3-2 is a pretty respectable scoreline.
Aké was great again and prevented a humiliating loss.
There's no point playing Sterling, Foden and Grealish if we're just going to fuck around with them in positions they clearly aren't used to all the time. Either we sign a striker so they can play where they're good or we sell them.
There are definitely better ways to approach rotation than just sacrificing the FA Cup at this stage every year.

You seem to have quickly forgotten that Emerson made an error on Wednesday that could easily have cost us the tie. It happens. Players are human, humans make mistakes. People on here can't seem to accept that.Emerson starts and we would have won it. Pep needs to get over playing the back up keeper for the whole cup campaign. He clearly was out of his depth.
