Liverpool FA Cup s/f (N) | Post Match Thread

I didn't hear one scouse accent on Wembley way, the only one I heard was wearing a grey shell suit stood outside a pub in King's cross
We came via Wembley Central and it was wall to wall scousers-and proper scousers-in your face semi religous fanatics.I had one shoving a picture of them with the CL trophy in my face and "youse want one ob deze dontcha-we've got 6" and all his scabby mates jostling for position.By the time we got to the blue end I was exhausted but relieved-and desperate for a performance to shut them up-semi suicidal after 20 minutes!!

I thought I heard a whistle as well.
And then thought it must be just me imagining things.
But it seems like it wasn't just my imagination after all.
To be honest thought ref had blown for ball going out from corner kick, hope it wasn't some idiot in our end with a whistle.

You should've held up your hands and said,

"You want 2 of these don't you"

"What do you mean la?"

"Hands with no blood on them"

"Now Fuck Off"

I definitely heard it. Was convinced it wasn't going to allowed.
Yes the whistler was at it for most of the game. I was in 104 and it was somewhere to the left of that. It was proper whistle that would have been heard on the pitch at a normal ground. Also annoying was Hendo warming up in front of us and smirking.. and the sun in our eyes...and the fog of the flares from their end...and the scoreline!

I know it’s all ridiculous when certain people go on about crowds but thought I’d share this from the Liverpool Echo in March 1995:
We should have been in that Semi, Palace had a goal drought but beat us 4-0 int he QF, they ended their 9 game drought just before they played us in the FA Cup via our mates lowly Lincoln.

In 1995 stadiums were being rebuilt not the best comparison year.
