Liverpool (h) - CL QF post match thread

Even the late Gundogan goal was onside, nothing was made of it because the tie was already dead.

So that's THREE goals all incorrectly ruled out as offside - one a precious away goal.

Two penalty decisions going against us.

Salah's first goal offside.

Couple that with a smashed up bus and a manager sent to the stands, we might as well not have bothered.

When I began following City, I was a bit astonished about many comments that City is often targeted by officials on purpose.
I thought it must be some kind of paranioa and victim behaviour coming from something in the past I didn't know.

More and more I see the imbalance of decisions for and against City but I struggle to find a reason.
Normally I don't tend to call for corrupt tendencies.
But why especially City is done that way is really strange.
And more so the public reaction to that obvious situation, except for City fans' or club's comments.

I wonder if I already have a selective reception about City. I thought not.

It would have been more just to throw dice (err.. at least MY dice, as they honestly aren't manipulated).
And we would have had fresh legs for the fuckin derby.

I think Pep has had his eyes opened to it. He will have initially questioned it as a weak mentality but coming from Barca and Bayern, he can probably now appreciate why we wonder sometimes about the officials.

Didn't see the end of that game so messed that disallowed goal was it definitely on side I mean it is getting f****** unbelievable

Trust me, you’ll feel different when you see us lift that trophy.
Funnily enough, I’m already over the Liverpool business, but still smarting from the derby. The lads are pretty shot, it’s obvious, after the magnificent season they’ve given us. The tiredness is more mental than physical, imo, although the second is not to be discounted.
The return of Mendy could be just the tonic to reinject into the shark team. What a good time for him to come back.
Same as me. The Liverpool thing hasn't bothered me that much really, the Rag thing still smarts though.

in all honesty apart from being pissed off on the day/night...none of them have bothered me that much. Usually a derby defeat would leave me pissed for around a week, but because of the bigger picture involved in all of this I have found that it hasnt.
