It's not necessarily a change in formation im looking for, it's the gameplan and the mentality.
With what weve got, when we get the ball, we should be looking for the first and second pass to be forward balls, look to get the ball to the danger men wherever they are as quickly as possible to give them space to attack and to give them that imbalance in the oppositions formation to exploit before they can recover. We know what that looks like as its pretty much how we concede every single goal.
We are too slow to build up an attack, we let the opponents stick 10 behind the ball and we often don't have the tools to break through that, especially without Haaland. Look at Newcastle, all the goals came from us attacking quickly and directly, that's also how Liverpool concede the majority of their goals and how we need to be prepared to play.
It doesn't mean we have to turn it into a basketball match, we can slow things down and pass the ball for periods but we need that different approach and change of tempo in our game, we've got the players for it, I'd even argue we're actually better suited to play that way now but peps still trying to recreate last seasons style with tools that aren't meant for that.
