Liverpool (H) - Post-Match Thread

Can't believe how far we have dropped of as a team compared to two seasons ago.
slow boring football where every player seems petrified to play a pass forward.
After half an hour they were there for the taking but at no point did we even look remotely interested
in going for the kill.
My ears are still ringing from the refs whistle. Stop start stop start.
We have to be the most booked team this season
 
No way would that second half have happened with fans. We wouldn’t have let it. Pep wanted it though hence he wouldn’t risk more attacking options. Every big game now and he is too scared to lose.
 
It's kind of sad, not the result nor performance... but the fact that even in a game such as this, my heart is not really there. Of course it has it's reasons, but I miss being fully committed and excited about a game.

Having said that, a draw isn't a bad outcome against Liverpool, too bad about Kev's penalty miss, but shit happens.
 
We fucked each other out of that match.

I thought we played well. Obviously we’re not the team we used to be, but we still played better than them. We’re a couple of players away from being a quality team again. I thought Gundo, Jesus and Cancelo were our best players. Cancelo is slowly becoming one of our keys players.
 
Should have won that after an awful start. Let’s kick on after this shite international break
 
Do you think your slower play so far this season is to try and prevent muscle injuries? Maybe trying to build up the fitness slowly to go full speed in the last few months, hoping Liverpool have flogged themselves by then?

You struggled with the pace at first but managed to get into it and get some control. A draw was a fair result in the end
 
Not clinical enough - again. KDB looks knackered. Stirling has been found out - lucky to have played in a very good team last few seasons and now he has been asked to step up he is ordinary. Cancelo should be our first choice left back. Gabby is pretty good at holding the ball up so when Gundogan gets the ball centrally in our own half he should be looking for a quick pass down the middle - instead he just passes back to our CHs or Ederson. It doesn’t seem that difficult to address these problems but we don’t seem to be progressing.

No idea.

Miles away from the form we know he is capable of,and acts very petulant and broody

Sterling another concern for me.His Tap ins were masking the rest of his game,and they have dried up.

He is incapable of the basics,trapping,shielding,controlling the Ball.Just running in to players and creating counters for opposing teams.

Foden is being treated badly.
