Liverpool (H) | Post match thread

Again.

Would love to see a compilation of the refereeing decisions in our games against them. EVERY game is affected in their favour.

And, can anyone remember a single VAR decision between us and lfc that have gone or way? Contentious decision? All I can think of is mane ederson.

When is someone going to join the dots ffs, it's so stark.

has anyone seen the replay of the van dyke challenge on jesus,in the first half van dyke got far to close to allison , gabby nipped in and it looked like van dyke legged gabby up, they didn't show a replay ?
No they didn’t, also I don’t think there was a replay of the “foul” by Jesus just before Foden “scored”. I’m not saying these decisions were wrong but it would be nice to see them again.

Woke up this morning and I’m pissed off with that result. We should have won, and I’m very disappointed that we didn’t.
Is the only correct answer.
There's fuck all point being the better team if we don't win. It's OK once or twice a season but not against our main title challengers and not when we've dropped so many points in the past couple of months.

Has anyone seen BBC Garth Crooks' Team of the Week? Not a single City player and yet VVD and Mane are included as well as half the Everton team despite the latter having no opposition. Unbelievable.
That's because Garth Crooks is a fucking wanker and it's only the BBC who keep him employed to tick a box.

Mane-Ederson was before VAR, but probably the last contentious one to go against them, certainly when playing City.

Maybe it’s that City are just…better than you?
Thick ****. It was Liverpool fans who started all that booing business when we played them at Anfield in the 2013/14 season. Funny how they don't like it when they get a bit back. City fans really can't win with some of that lot - on the one hand we apparently don't have any atmosphere, yet when we do create one they start chucking their toys out the pram. It was the same with that game in 2018/19 at ours when their fans shit themselves so much that they were too scared to celebrate when they equalised, one of them even skriking on social media afterwards that our fans were too intimidating!

Sore head today thats for sure. Crazy thing is we only have 48 hours to Athletico and then 3 days to the semi final. Not sure my body can take to much more of this.
Haha, madness mate. Bloody hard time for the wallet and the body. It’s bloody fantastic though when we get to this stage of the season still fighting on 3 fronts! We’re incredibly lucky as fans!

a great game and proud of the lads with the way they thought hard and faced liverpool up.
its all you can ask of the players give us 100% win lose or draw in that city shirt.

don't normally do this but some credit to liveprool ? their forward line scares the life out of me because they seem to never miss when they are in. its the only thing missing from our squad that killer striker ? a cold-blooded finisher

manchester city shown the world yesterday we are top dog in the premier league. the world watching us play like that will only mean one thing man united WHO ? arm chair fans will be out shopping today for manchester city kits

The result is more frustrating today hearing all the reaction about the sides being so evenly matched…

Similar to a lot of derbies with Pep where we’ve played them off the park and won 2-1, unfortunately the only thing that gets remembered is the score line.

There’s likely to be 2 more head to head games this season and they can’t be draws.
How can the teams be evenly matched when they have the best player in the world in every position?

He nearly had a great game, but, he was asleep on their 2nd goal. Watch it tonight - he lets Mane get a free run.

I think people are being too harsh on him for this. He was on his bike going forward much more than usual to keep Robertson pinned back and I think he'd probably set off when the ball goes to Cancelo and then we lose the ball 10 yards outside our box and even he can't recover from that.

I’m very happy not proving we are better by winning in the two league games, so long as we go on to win the league and prove we are better by winning in the fa cup semi and champions league final.

I thought walker showed clearly who the best right back in the country is.
