I think if Gundo is able to hold the ball well in mid then we have a good chance since they have 4 forwards

Surely we could've had an academy lad taking Garcia's place on the bench, absolutely no need for three centre halves on it.

First time he has ever had to make these decisions since he is in charge of the dippers. Normally you'd know their starting 11 straight away bar one change in midfield which is like for like.
I'm hoping he has shot himself in the foot today.
It's the reason they bought Jota. They've actually tried this kind of setup occasionally, mostly due to rotation. A 4-5-1 in mid and low block defense (kind of like now), but the gegenpress has been fucked up, since the attacking play is just way too free flowing and ad-hoc. People all over the place and the gegenpress just gets totally out of sync. Liverpool can't force the tempo and intensity like they usually do. I hate it. It has never worked, and we're terribly exposed.

Would have preferred Ake at LB and Bernardo in place of Gundogan but hopefully it'll turn out to be the right decision.

We're going to have to be on our toes at the back with them playing 4 forwards.

Mahrez out of bench seems risky as hell but oh what the hell I trust our baldy...

I am hopeful Klopp has underestimated our defence with that line-up. Either that or he's so lacking in confidence he's decided to go balls to the wall.

pretty much the line up we all had in mind

city have to be boss today and control the game from the back. no silly stuff and even kick it long to change it up
look as much we all hate liverpool we have to respect them and we know there game and we can beat them

BUT its that little old chestnut of letting the officials control the game and we lose the plot ?
we must take our chances today and take the officials out of the game. even VAR will be watching every little thing city do. we know they will flag up anything to get a result for liverpool

tight game and lets hope city put on a show because if we click nobody can beat us not even the officials and VAR

Ake for Cancelo and Bernie for Gundo and I would have been happier. Just hope whoever plays in front of Cancelo (prob Raz) works hard to cover the left hand side.

Looks like Klopp has gone for broke, be interesting to see how it plays out, especially if they don't have much ball.
